The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Sharkies Fruit Chews:
Sharkies don't upset my stomach, so I eat them a lot. The taste is a little salty of all things, but I really like that. Vegan and organic as a bonus to that crowd, though doesn't matter to me. I prefer the mixed fruit, citrus, and berry (in that order), the other flavors aren't so hot. I buy a couple of packs of sharkies every time I go into the store.

Comments about Sharkies Fruit Chews:
I thought these tasted okay, but there was a funny aftertaste and bits stuck on my teeth for awhile. I prefer the cliff blocks and sport beans to these. Didn't feel a "boost" during my run as much as other products, but perhaps they are better just as a snack. However, I believe they are organic, which is a bonus.

Comments about Sharkies Fruit Chews:
As a lover of many self-propelled outdoor pursuits including my job at a dog adventure school, I have been happy to discover Sharkies as an alternative or supplement to shots, gels, or candy. Agreed that they are not ideal to replace complex carbs for hardcore athletic pursuits, but on a 1-2 hour trail adventure they are perfect for a light energy boost to get back to the sandwich waiting in the car. They are my weakness, because they taste really good!

Comments about Sharkies Fruit Chews:
Average chews, non-rubbery texture, very slightly sticky to teeth. Flavor is OK. They're nice as a snack, but not very filling. Being a bicyclist I need something that keeps me going on a 5 hour ride--this does not do the job. But if you're just looking for something to munch on without expecting it to energize you... I believe these Sharkies will do the job.

Comments about Sharkies Fruit Chews:
I try to always keep some extra bags of Sharkies on hand in case I want a tasty treat. I have been eating the Citrus, Berry, and Fruit flavors for weeks now, and I would rate the Citrus flavor as more tart than the Berry or Fruit flavors.

Comments about Sharkies Fruit Chews:
These are delicious so I splurge every once in awhile. It's also fabulous that they are organic, so I'd definitely choose these for a candy-like snack over a normal, non-organic candy. However, they essentially *are* candy, because of the cane sugar, so they don't work as well as other energy snacks on the trail or on the bike. The sugar crash isn't worth it. They're also very chewy and can stick in your teeth. So for dessert, or an everyday snack. I recommend them; when you don't want to bonk, I suggest a product with brown rice syrup as a sweetener, or good ol' dried fruit and nuts.

Comments about Sharkies Fruit Chews:
I actually really like the taste of the sharkies. They are not too sweet nor are they too tart, overall easy to digest. It is one of the few "energy" products that do not seem to make me nauseated. A few bags, some water and we are ready to go.
