The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about SmartWool Adventurer Socks:
These are very nice-looking and well-made socks. If you are used to SmartWool socks, keep in mind these don't have the same rugged padding as some do, but they are soft and un-bulky.[...]

Comments about SmartWool Adventurer Socks:
I wore my Adventure socks no more than 8 times in the 2 months owned. I wore them for casual use to and from the office. On the 9th wear, I found the heel in both socks gave out, with large holes developing in both. Granted, they are the most comfortable sock I've worn, they should last longer than 2 months.[...] Stick to their hiking socks, where you will get a much better value.

Comments about SmartWool Adventurer Socks:
I read the all of the reviews before buying these socks, so I was a little worried about them but decided that I would give them a try anyway. Most people just like to be negative without real cause, right? Well, unfortunately, the negative reviews were dead on. While these socks look great, the elastic doesn't hold them up. I've worn them exactly twice so far and they fall down many times throughout the course of the day.
Whoever suggested that you buy real hiking socks from SmartWool was absolutely right. I bought a pair of the "Trekking Heavy Crew" socks and they are SO MUCH BETTER for $1 LESS! I wouldn't waste your money on these. Go for the thickest, warmest hiking socks you can get from SmartWool. Great brand - bad execution on these.

Comments about SmartWool Adventurer Socks:
I've just used this sock in daily use knowing full well that this is not one of SmartWool's esteemed hiking socks yet it has still not stood up to my expectations of a durable, everyday use sock. For the money, I expect a sock that is soft and comfortable (which it is), but not one that starts to pill after a few uses and doesn't seem to retain its elasticity/shape. It'd be a better decision to buy a legit hiking sock.

Comments about SmartWool Adventurer Socks:
Bum legs here; can't stand any tight elastic. I wear these socks all the time because they are the ONLY ones I can find that don't dig into my legs. They are lasting quite well, in spite of some pilling. After a few years they are starting to wear in the heels - not unexpectedly - and they will shink a little if exposed to hot water or dryer but that's not an issue if you choose a slightly larger size or keep them away from heat. I would be lost without them.

Comments about SmartWool Adventurer Socks:
I have three pair of these socks. They are the most comfortable of all the Smartwool socks that I have. I have had them for two years, and they have still maintained their cushion and are holding together just fine. I'm surprised these aren't rated by others higher.

Comments about SmartWool Adventurer Socks:
I'm sorry to see so many bad reviews of these socks. I've had mine for two years, worn them in the house, and out on the trail, and to work, and they are holding up fine. No, they aren't "hiking socks". If you want strictly socks for hiking, but hiking socks. If you want comfortable, all-purpose socks you'll look forward to wearing each time, buy these!

Comments about SmartWool Adventurer Socks:
They're decent socks, but they're heavily lacking in the elastic department. They just stretch out and stay that way. Sometimes when I stuff my foot into my shoe, the sock bulks up behind my heel because of the stretch.
Spend a little more money and get the SW PHD Outdoor Light Crew. Amazing socks.

Comments about SmartWool Adventurer Socks:
I love these socks. I have worn them to the office, and worn them out on the trail. They are the most comfortable socks I have. They haven't worn or lost their elasticity in the least. I highly recommend them!

Comments about SmartWool Adventurer Socks:
Really great sock but...yes it is true, the heels DO wear out too fast-a bit of reinforcement would go a long way toward making them last much longer.
I would like them to be a bit higher, as well, so they don't fall down inside my boots.
