The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

I've worn these socks alone and with liners. I prefer using them with the liners, but they work great both ways. They keep my feet dry and are very comfortable.
They are big for their size. I had to go and exchange them for a smaller size and now they fit great and are the only sock I wear while hiking.

I have very poor circulation, so my feet are always cold in the winter. These socks help tremendously. They are soft and thick and great at wicking away sweat. Expensive, but worth every penny.

I love Smartwool socks because they have a small size that fits my size 6 foot. They are great for the first 6 months, but they always wear out, and way too fast for the price. Their hiking and casual socks wind up with holes on the bottom in less than a year. I have been through about 20 pairs, and all have the same result. Very disappointing. I won't buy any more.

I started buying Smartwool socks for everyday use, and have had several pairs. I love the way they feel and fit, but for the cost, they wear out much too quickly. They are too thin and it only takes a couple of months and I can see my toes as the threads become more thin. I'd recommend them, but mostly recommend the Smartwool folks put a little extra into a good sock to make it really great, or cut the price in half.
