Comments about Flatworld Orikaso Solo Set:
Buying these three items in a set proved to be a waste of money. I could have easily spent less than 25% of the list price by just purchasing the bowl, since that's the only piece I've found to be of any use at all.
The plate is alright for times when you have a solid surface to set it on, but otherwise won't do you much good. The mug is neat in theory and can be used as a measuring cup for hot water when making backpacking meals. I wouldn't suggest drinking from it, though. The handle is iffy, at best, and the wobbly lip made it tricky to take a sip without fear of pouring hot liquid all over my man bits.
The bowl, however, is perfect. Great for storing chopped goods, cooked food, and eating dry meals or soupy meals. I'd think twice about using it as a self-defense weapon, though.

Comments about Flatworld Orikaso Solo Set:
I have used this set for almost two years and love it. About a year ago I loaned it to a friend to use on a camping trip with some of her friends. She was using the cup while on a hike and a passing hiker was so impressed with it he had to come over and talk to her. I'm attending their wedding this weekend and I bet you can guess what I'll be giving them!
All these items are so easy to use and clean. I usually unfold them and wipe them clean followed by a good cleaning at home with soap and water. I've eaten bbq ribs off the plate, soup and chili from the bowl and most any liquid from the cup and no stains, oders, or tastes linger on any of them. I might just replace all the dishes in my house with these.

Comments about Flatworld Orikaso Solo Set:
I've never had a leak and I've been using my solo set for years. Once you fold it once, it easily retains the folds to quickly fold for the next use, and the cup is a must (don't worry about the mug) because of the sturdy handle and measurements permanently marked inside. The plate has been used multiple times as a cutting board and has yet to leak or puncture. I'm buying a set for my husband as he keeps stealing mine!

Comments about Flatworld Orikaso Solo Set:
I've been on tons of campouts, and these flat plates, mugs and bowls beat a regular mess kit every time. Easy to clean, fun to fold, and indestructible. Nothing has ever leaked out of them, and you can measure ingredients with the mug.Very hot water doesn't damage it, and the best part is they are machine washable.Once you buy this, you will never need another set again.

Comments about Flatworld Orikaso Solo Set:
Hey What is that thing? I hear that a lot when I pull out my flat orange piece of plastic and fold it into a bowl. Then, my bowl gets passed around, folded and unfoled, before I can fill it up and eat.
This is a great idea. I've taken my bowl all over the world. I can flatten it out and stick it against the back of my backpack and I have instant access to a clean bowl to eat from. I'm sure this has saved me from a few germs at some roadside eateries.
The plate is excellent as a cutting board or a plate (although the tabs could be more robust so it doesn't pop open so easily). The mug I haven't found as useful - it doesn't open into a square or circle so has too many corners.
Overall, a great thing to pack whether your on your way to India or just off for a few days in the woods. Can't beat the weight!!

Comments about Flatworld Orikaso Solo Set:
I think this set is great, though I only really used the bowl and mug on the last long trek. Just like it says - it weighs literally nothing and unfolds to a few sheets of paper. When unfolded it can live at the back or bottom of a pack as it is wide. I'd recommend the whole set for those on longer treks or those who are serious about their cooking. The mug for me was a bit small, but no big deal. And it was handy for liquid measurements.

Comments about Flatworld Orikaso Solo Set:
I was really happy with these on a recent mountaineering trip where I had extremely limited weight and space. They fit easily against the back support area of my pack and I had the comfort of using dishes at base camp, rather than having to eat and drink straight from the pot.

What's to say. You really get what you pay for. I purchased the cup and bowl as the idea is great. The cup on the first journey out sprung a leak. Not so unbreakable. The bowl worked pretty well however! Though if the cup sprung a leak on the first trip, do you really want to take chances on the next trip.
I will stick to something more durable and time proven.
