Comments about REI Duck's Back Rain Cover - 80 Liters:
This cover is great if you are hiking through rainy meadows with nice soft grass and you never encounter anything sharp, rough, pointy, or menacing looking. Mine ripped 3 times on its first run. It isn't ripstop material either so the rips just continue to grow as your pack moves on you and you take the cover on and off. I found very little improvement over the garbage bag that I had been using. If you still feel you must own this, then I suggest buying the 80L for 70L packs and below.

Comments about REI Duck's Back Rain Cover - 80 Liters:
This product works great!! I am a little surprised by the comments on here... I have a large 80L bag and this pack cover fits it just fine even when it is stuffed full. I have been on multiple rainy hiking trips over the past year and it ALWAYS keeps my stuff super dry. I backpacked all over Costa Rica for a month during the rainy season and had no issues. Hiked John Muir Trail for 20 days and used it every night to wrap my bag just to keep it dry from the dew, and used it several times when we ran into some rainy weather, always kept everything dry!! I've checked my bag at airports with this cover over the bag to keep the straps in etc, and never had any issues with the durability. Anyway -- No rips or tears after months and months of rough use.
I love it... Essential if you are going to do any hiking in wet conditions or just to keep your bag wrapped up.

Comments about REI Duck's Back Rain Cover - 80 Liters:
Definitely keeps your pack dry. I reccommend actually trying one on your pack to make sure it fits right. You really can't go by the size on the tag.

I bought this because my pack didnt have one. I am most impressed with how much I use it and not just for my big pack but also my climbing gear and other things.

Comments about REI Duck's Back Rain Cover - 80 Liters:
The pack cover really does its job, and can pack in and out quickly when your pressed for time. The elastic seals up the edge of your pack very well, so that nothing but shoulder and waist straps are exposed.
