Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
i love this beanie. i wear it all year round. it actually breaths really well in the warmer months, and keeps your head warm down to the high 40's. of course, i live in southern CA so it doesnt get very cold here, but i spent 3 weeks this summer in 6 different national parks with this beanie and it worked wonderfully. if you're looking for something to keep you warm in the snow, i would probably wear something windproof over this, or buy a different product

Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
When I shell out good money for a wool hat, I expect it to keep my bald dome warm. That hasn't happened with this excellently made product. My head gets cold. I guess I'll just go back to the fleece beanies that keep my head warm, but not so good looking.

Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
if you're looking for a beanie that can cover your hot, ginormous head and chilled ears, then look no further. It breathes well. It's very stretchy. The wool is neither itchy nor smelly.

Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
Nice hat. Lightweight, so little or no hat-head. Folds nicely for backpack or pocket. Be mindful to store it well for the summer. My first one was moth-eaten by the next season.

Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
Warm, stretchy, comfortable (not itchy, naturally), and has a nice and simple look. Keeps head warm when hair is wet, and dries quickly when damp. Kept head warm even when drenched during a wet snow storm. Perfect lightweight head cap.

Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
Great fit, very breathable yet warm. I wear this hat while running in sub freezing temperatures and have been happy with it after every use.
Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
My boyfriend had this beanie to keep his bald head warm and loved it, and after I borrowed it for a mere few hours I decided I needed to get one for myself. It's incredibly warm even though it's very thin, and the wool isn't itchy at all.

Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
I just bought this hat and I love it. I need to wear a hat sometimes when I work but every beanie I try is too hot or itchy. This one only gets itchy if I cuff it or roll it up, I guess the double layer is tighter and doesn't breath as well so I just don't roll it up. The other night I dropped it coming in from work and it spent all night in the street during a violent rain storm. I found it in the morning and it was dry enough to wear in 3 hours and no visible damage. It was covered in little rocks, dirt, and leaves and it looks like I just bought the thing. I love everything of Smartwool that I've ever owned, but it tends to be kinda delicate. Not this hat.

Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
I found this hat at my local REI in the clearance section and always wanted to try something by Smart Wool, but the pricetag makes it hard to commit to. Being skeptical and it being on clearance, I bought it and am very impressed. The materially feels like nothing else I have worn, stretches but retains shape, light but very warm, breathable but retains warmth. It's like Smart Wool is made with alien technology and has the best of everything. Well worth the full price tag and a hat I plan to wear whenever I get the chance to during the cold Chicago winters.

Comments about SmartWool Cuffed Beanie:
I use this beanie under my bike helmet for cold weather riding, in the temperature range from 25 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit. In really cold weather I put a cover on my helmet and this beanie underneath. This beanie pulls down under my ears and stays put, keeping my ears warm and comfy thru chilly commutes and recreational rides. I always keep this beanie with me, and it hasn't failed me in the least. Where other beanies have disappointed me by rolling up on my head as I ride and allowing my ears to chill, this great beanie stays put. I also feel like this comfy beanie helps give my head a little extra cushioning from the helmet edges and usually wear this beanie way past the need for just warmth!
