Comments about Light My Fire Meal Kit:
This is the coolest mess kit I have ever seen. Form and function.
This thing gets oohs and aahs every time I bring it on a camping trip. I bought them as gifts for my group of scouts, and they tell me the same thing.
The strainer/cutting board is a great feature. Use the various containers for packing food in, then as dishes later on the trip. The shape allows packing several kits in our food box for family car trips.
The plastic doesn't rattle around in my pack, or add a metallic taste to acidic foods like some metal kits that I've owned. It seems durable in cool weather, and insulates at least long enough to enjoy your meal.
Bring the whole kit, or just a couple pieces for a lighter trip.

Comments about Light My Fire Meal Kit:
We took this set on multiple day backcountry trips with us all year and it is awesome! Unlike silicone squishys which can "move" on you with hot liquids, or metal ones that can burn you, this set kept the food in/on a stable surface. We liked the strainer/cutting board combo which doubled as a 3rd plate for sandwich type meals. Using the cutting board inside the lower plate/bowl kept all food out of the dirt when cutting stuff. Strainer was a great size for our JetBoil stove. Everything cleans nicely. We used one set for all three of us and bought extra spoon/forks in different colors. Also stashed salt/pepper, pocket knife, and matches inside along with extra utensils. Was stable enough to balance on your lap as you sat on a rock...a great feature during food prep and eating. This and our JetBoil stove was all we needed. I wish they sold singles of the coffee cup inside...

Comments about Light My Fire Meal Kit:
Great when lightweight, multi-functioning, durable equipment is a must. I often transport my gear to faraway locations by plane, so i must seriously limit the pack size of items as well as weight. A truly creative invention which is fun to use and very easy to maintain throughout a 2-week trip. I usually carry 2 sets to have the 2nd for storage. Nesting design is easy to pack. Add my knife & tiny stove and my "kitchen" is complete!

Comments about Light My Fire Meal Kit:
This mess kit is wonderful. My husband & I both have one. They won't burn you and are easy to clean and stow. Everyone was jealous on our last backpacking trip. I pack trail mix, etc. in the small ones. Plus, they come in bright, fun colors!

Comments about Light My Fire Meal Kit:
This is the best mess kit I've ever used. It's plastic so it's not cold in the morning unlike the metal ones. I've only lost the strap but it's fine.I bring this on every trip and you can also put stuff inside it.To clean it on the trail I use soapy water and then dip it in bleach water and the bleach dosen't ruin the color.BUY IT! Everyone is sooo jealous of my Light My Fire kit.

Comments about Light My Fire Meal Kit:
The outward design & nesting of the items allows one to pack this anywhere in a car or backpack. The overall weight is light enough to always carry, but selecting only those needed pieces can be tailoered for a specific adventure. Durability & ease in cleaning make this a desirable item for my outdoor experiences.

Comments about Light My Fire Meal Kit:
We bought one of these in each color for our kids. They love them. The cup is a little different. THe spork is great my kids range from 16 to 8 (and a 3month) and they have no difficulty with the knife edge. Cannot think of a single improvement that could be made. When I asked by kids all they came up with was that there could be different colors otherwise two thumbs up.

Comments about Light My Fire Meal Kit:
I've taken it on 3 or 4 outings, mostly car-camps, one short hike. My biggest observation is that the graduated cup is graduated in 100-ml increments... so if you're trying to measure half a cup of water, you'll have to estimate 0.18 marks above the "1" graduation. Might have to scratch English measures into it, for recipes coming from this side of the pond.

Comments about Light My Fire Meal Kit:
I bought this to finish out my field kitchen kit. All the other soldiers really liked it. It became the talk when meal time came around. I have dropped it and stumbled over it and it is still holding on. The drop was off a steep cliff and took me a few hours to retrieve it. The only problem is the carrying strap should come with it and not be a bought accessory.

Comments about Light My Fire Meal Kit:
The lid/plate fits so tightly over the bottom that you can use it to store leftovers, berries, or anything else you might need. I fill it with hot soapy water and shake it to use as a dishwasher, this thing is essential. I bought one for my trail buddy so we can always have two.
With everything in it though, its a little heavy for backpacking
