Punch a hole through the darkness with this ultra-bright headlamp supplying far-reaching illumination for skiers, climbers, hikers, paddlers and more.

  • Equipped with one HyperBright LED and three standard LEDs for amazing brightness and total lighting versatility
  • HyperBright 1-watt LED features a lens and reflector that allows it to project a far-reaching beam of light
  • Streamlined design sets the beam at an efficient illumination angle; ratcheting swivel head aims light where you need it
  • Switch on top lets you select from four lighting levels for both bulb types: low, medium, high, bright strobe—a total of 8 modes!
  • Water-resistant construction for full-on reliability in inclement weather
  • Compact design fits securely around head with adjustable elastic band that won't pull hair
  • Runs on three AAA batteries (included); battery compartment is just behind LEDs for a compact design

      A bright, lightweight, compact, headlamp! I upgraded from another headlamp to get the spotlight capability, and I have never regretted it! The spotlight is fantastic for getting around at night, and the broad beam is perfect for inside the tent. Highly recommended!

        This light does everything from allowing a low amount of light for reading to a bright beam for skiing during a moonless night. And it's really light.

        I use the Spot whenever I need a flashlight. It always puts light right where you need it. In the attic, under the sink, outside. Also fits great on our bike helmets. I use the head strap to secure it under my helmet visor. My wife uses a velcro strap on her helmet. I love great products with great value....this is one of them. Bought them for the whole family.

        I read all the reviews about the Tikka XP and Black Diamond Spot and they both sounded great so I bought both and brought them home (my local store didn't have a dark place where I could try them). Outside the beams where similar until you put the Tikka in boost mode -- then it was a good bit brighter than the Spot. In reading mode (what I use the headlamp for the most) the Tikka provided a much more even light. The diffuser works surprisingly well. The Spot on the other hand created very un-even light (similar to my older Tikka's) that required you to continuously move the headlamp so that the bright spots weren't where you were reading.When I bought these I asked the[...]sales guy which was better and he said the Spot because it had two different sets of bulbs. Sounds like a good thing. But then he said he had never compared them. The Tikka's diffuser may seem cheesy but it's actually the perfect solution to providing even, consistent reading light!

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        This headlamp has served me well for backpacking, climbing, and any other outdoor activity. I covet the super bright spot light fixed above three smaller LEDs which illuminate the darkest of nights.

        The only downside to the Spot is that it (slowly) consumes 3 AAA batteries which is a pain to me only because I always carry an extra set of batteries with me on all of my trips. The batteries are also a little difficult to get in and out of the lamp, but other than being a wienie about carrying a few extra batteries and having difficulty getting them in and out, I have not found any technical faults with the Spot.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

          I bought this headlamp because I currently live in the Caribbean and power outages here are frequent. It has been very useful with its lightweight and compact design. I have used for everything for car repairs to studying and I never go on any hike or travel to another island without it. It easily slips into a side pocket on my pack or into a pocket on my shorts for easy access.

          My only con for this lamp is that you are not able to use both the spot and flood lights at the same time, but it does still provide an impressively bright light in either mode.
          I would highly recommend this headlamp to anyone.

            From alpine starts on a glacier to camping with friends on the beach, this is the real deal. Couldn't ask for more in a headlamp! Recommend lithium batteries for cold weather!

              This is the best light ever! There is simply not a better light on the market. I've used from manhunt in my backyard to hiking in the White Mt.s in New Hampshire. It is simply the BEST!!!!
