Comments about Novara Padded Bike Briefs - Men's:
I have tried other brands and this is by far the best. Other reviewers complained of the fit but I found it perfect.

Comments about Novara Padded Bike Briefs - Men's:
Great padding for a tender tush. I wear under padded bike shorts for extra comfort on 1-2+ hr rides on TX back country roads. I ride mountain in case the bubba in the pickup decides not to share the road with a bicyclist.

Comments about Novara Padded Bike Briefs - Men's:
This is my alternative to the look and price of bike shorts. They felt a little strange at first, and there was some occasional chafing at the leg openings. I don't want a lot of padding but do want the wicking of the sweat, and these do that job well enough. There is enough padding to make club rides more comfortable, and those rides range from 25-45 miles, often hilly. I am seriously considering buying more of these, and am also considering the boxer style. As for recommending to a friend, most of my friends wear the pro stuff, but I'll say yes because I am considering them again. If it matters, I'm about 50 yrs young, 5ft 6, 35 in waist (should be 32). I have used this product for about a year.

Comments about Novara Padded Bike Briefs - Men's:
My experience agrees with prev reviews as regards poor fit. I have a 32 waist at 70", so med should work, but I tired them in the shop, and med was way to tight and needed large. Despite they felt funny I bought 2 pairs. After about 6 miles I had an odd feeling down under. After examination I noticed that my private parts had become numb to the point of being scary. Never experienced this before, there seems to be some constriction. Maybe because the pad is also anatomically incorrect, it squeezes your pieces into your guts. Tearing off the Novaras in panic returned things to normal. Morale: if it done feel right in the fitting room, it probably won't work right. Maybe I can slavage the pads for spares.

Comments about Novara Padded Bike Briefs - Men's:
I commute in my work clothes, and these padded briefs have made my hourlong bike ride a lot more enjoyable. The only complain I have is that the padding could be slightly thicker. Otherwise, I am thrilled to put on pair and pedal away!

Comments about Novara Padded Bike Briefs - Men's:
As others have mentioned, the sizing of the product is off. The hips are too small relative to the waist, and the padding is too wide. The other features of the brief, such as the depth of the padding and the fabric composition, are decent. If REI can fix the sizing and make the padding narrower, this could be a good product.

Comments about Novara Padded Bike Briefs - Men's:
I was drawn to these padded cycling liners/briefs (in size men's large) because of their advertised ability to make "any clothes cycling clothes". I never got to try them on a bike. I put them on at home with fresh briefs underneath as a shield, but quit right away when they could not even be pulled up over my legs due to being too small. Since large is my appropriate size, I gave up on this product, realizing that moving up to XL would still be too tight and constricting. These briefs are a great idea if Novarra can get the sizing issue corrected

Comments about Novara Padded Bike Briefs - Men's:
I bought these primarily for my commute home from work. Yuck! The padding is OK but not really all that much. It could use more. There are several seams in the front that may cause you discomfort. The leg openings are rough and cause chafing on even short rides.Do not buy these. Sorry,[...]but this is not a winner.
