I have one of those expensive helmets, the one that a local bike shop said my head could breathe and my sunglasses could fit in the 2 front holes. Whoopy, I bought this helmet to help prevent the other one from stinking and to have a backup helmet. I actually prefer this one over my [$]. My head breathes the same, and guess what, I can put the frames of my Oakleys right into the front holes fairly securely. I am totally impressed with this helmet and love it.

Crashed hard enough to break two bones in my wrist. Would not have known I hit my head other than the dent in the helmet, and the nice bruise on my cheek.No headache or anything! What more could you ask for. The Transfer is a cheap, reliable helmet, that saved me from getting a head injury.

Not only is this helmet comfortable, but it stands up to crashes. A few weeks ago I took a tumble and smacked my head twice on the pavement. I came away with a collarbone in 3 pieces, but my head has no injuries whatsoever. The styrofoam cracked to absorb the impact, as it is supposed to. You can bet that I'm going to go out buy the exact same helmet!

This helmet protected my noggin with style and aplomb through snowy winters, baking summers in the desert and a lot of forgettable, in-between rides. I had it for 2 years and about 10,000 miles before she finally gave out. Not bad for [$]. I had dropped it plenty of times and it spent every day this summer in the sun, so it was finished. Finito. Kaputt. I will replace it soon enough.
