The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Heat Treat Grabber Foot Warmers - 1 Pair:
I used these while snowshoeing in late December at 10,000 feet elevation in Rocky Mountain National Park with over 2 feet of fresh powder on the ground and sustained winds of 15 MPH with gusts to 25 MPH. All that day my feet were NEVER COLD, but these heating pads worked in a manner that was very different from what I expected. That is, I couldn't actually feel that they were present in my boots. Here's why: First, they are very thin, and second, the heat they provid is very subtle.
According to the packaging, the pads only reach an average temperature of aroung 100°F, and under perfect laboratory conditions they max out at about 113°F. Normal body temperature is just under 99°F and somewhat higher while exerting one's self. As such I could not feel any actual sensation of active heating. Nonetheless, my feet were NOT COLD in spite of all the snow and ice.
The packaging says these pads will provide about 5 hours of heat. I used them for about 5 hours, and found that to be true in my case.
The ONLY drawback I found with this product is that they are a little undersized. I wear a size 9.5 to 10 boot and I used the large pads. If available, I'll get the extra large pads next time.
Overall, I am very pleased with the subtle performance of these foot warmers, and I WILL use them again while snowshoeing and snow camping.

Comments about Heat Treat Grabber Foot Warmers - 1 Pair:
this product did not work for me at all. I went snow camping for the first time this month, and had some cold feet at night. I had been using the hand warmers all day, and they worked great. So right before going to bed i put on dry socks, booties, and put these foot warmers into the booties, and slipped into my sleeping bag. These so called "foot warmers" worked all of 5 minutes before my feet were cold again. AARRGGHH! Trying to sleep with cold feet wasn't fun.

Comments about Heat Treat Grabber Foot Warmers - 1 Pair:
During the winter my hands and feet get cold out on my long bicycle rides. These foot warmers are key to keeping my feet warm. They say they last 5 hours but its more like 2 or 3. However my feet have never been cold when I slip these babies in my cycling shoes w/ a pair of wool socks.
