    This is a very reliable, all-purpose watch. I had one for many years but lost it 15 years ago. Have had other brands since. This year I went back to this "trusty" Timex and will not ever be without this watch! It's the best athletic watch -waterproof and too many features to list. It does about anything.

    This is a very good product but, like most Timex watches, the band eventually breaks and it's darn near impossible to find the correct replacement...so you have to go out and buy a new watch.

    I have been buying this model for several years now and love the watch and the comfort of the band, but once the band breaks, which it always does or the battery needs changing you will need a brain surgeon to change either. I have actually resorted to taking it to a watch shop to have both the band and battery changed. The watch is so durable, easy to use and comfortable that I tolerate the pain of changing the band each time, and yes I will buy another.

      I bought this watch to use on a 6 month trip in New Zealand. I was able to keep the NZ time as well as the time back home all at once. I've used it hiking, swimming, running, and digging in the dirt...and it still looks new! I wear it every day and am yet to get a scratch on the watch face. It's easy to set and the limited amount of buttons make it easy to use. Indiglo is still going strong as well. I absolutely love this watch!

          I needed a watch that I could use during early morning runs and this watch definitely fits the bill. Easy to read in the dark and the flick technology is a big plus. I also like that it fits my small wrist comfortably. The price is decent too. So far, so good on this purchase!

              I loved this watch until the strap broke and there was no way to replace it, rendering the watch useless. I was not hard on the watch - its just that I wore it everyday and rarely took it off. REI replaced it for me under warranty but the second one leaked water in and stopped working after only a few months.

              I am just a regular active person who wears a watch to work, run, play frisbee and swims in the lake on summer weekends, so by Ironman standards neither of these watches got a workout. My conclusion is that the construction and materials are substandard and the name is just a marketing tool. Don't count on it lasting more than a year.

              Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

              In terms of the watch itself, this is a great buy! The functions are easy to use, the glow is readable in the dark, the three timezones and stopwatch are useful, and I actually had the watch fall off my wrist and sit underwater for over an hour while I searched for it... and it still works great!

              However (referring the the last point above) the watch strap is NOT durable for daily wear with someone with an active lifestyle (I run and paddle). The strap tore, not only in one place, but in TWO after just a few months -- while the clock itself is fantastic, the strap does NOT live up to the "Iron Man" name, and the construction does not lend itself to replacing the strap. Right now it is still a great watchface... keeping time on my endtable.

              Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

                      great product, super lightweight, perfect for running... although the band did break, but you can call Timex & get a replacement band for $8 incl. [...] Also, condensation formed under the crystal, probably due to hitting my wrist on the lane line while swimming... so maybe not the most durable watch for the pool
