This DEET-based lotion features a controlled-release, low-absorption formula that limits the skin's exposure to DEET.

    • EPA-approved formula controls DEET exposure by encapsulating DEET in a protein that dissolves slowly, releasing the DEET over a longer period of time
    • Odorless, greaseless lotion is compatible for use with sunblock
    • Effectively protects from all common biting insects
    • Double your protection by using in conjunction with Sawyer® Insect Repellent Clothing Treatment

Comments about Sawyer Family Controlled-Release Insect Repellent - 20 Percent DEET - 6 fl. oz.:

I live in the South Pacific so we have problems with diseases transmitted by mosquitos (dengue mostly) and to make matters worse, my kids' school is open to the outdoors (no doors and no screens on the windows). Until I started using this they always came home with about 10 bug bites a day. Using this (combined with the permethrin soak for their clothing), we've gotten it down to about 1 a day. A huge improvement!

I love that it lasts long enough that I don't have to worry about it wearing off throughout the day.

My only minor complaint is that because it's the lotion style, it takes more time to apply than it would if it came in a spray. Otherwise, I love it!
