Comments about Seirus Hyperlite Stormsocks Waterproof Socks:
These were a Christmas gift, so I shouldn't be complaining. If you keep these socks dry, then they will work as intended. However, once wet, they are basically useless. They do not have an elasticated cuff, so when you stretch them to put them on, and then they get wet, the cuffs droop, funneling water into your shoes. A DWR treatment may help with performance, but as is these have no water resistance. Once wet, your thermal barrier is lost as these are super thin = cold feet. I would recommend spending the extra $ for a goretex type sock, if you are wanting something with water resistance.

Comments about Seirus Hyperlite Stormsocks Waterproof Socks:
I've had one pair of these for years, and ordered this new pair recently to have a spare. Sadly, the new pair is smaller than the old pair, though marked as the same size (XL.)
I wear these over a pair of merino wool socks in my SPD clip-in biking sandals, which keeps me warm enough to ride down to 30 degrees.
Kind of pricey, but highly recommended. I only wish there were an even larger size available so I could get them on more quickly and easily.

Comments about Seirus Hyperlite Stormsocks Waterproof Socks:
These socks are fantastic for cold wet uses. They are not "waterproof" but I won't wear anything else when riding in the rain. I'm buying my second pair. Great socks. Only downfall is that the seams are awkward, but they don't affect comfort really.

Comments about Seirus Hyperlite Stormsocks Waterproof Socks:
I needed waterproof socks to run the Antarctica Marathon. My friend ran the Antarctica Marathon with these "Hyperlite" Stormsocks and said they protected his feet from the elements. I tried on the Seirus "Hyperlite" Stormsocks, as well as the thicker Seirus Stormsocks. I wear a size 6 dress shoe and a size 7.5 running shoe. I have a high arch. I tried to put on the size Small Seirus Stormsocks and could not get it over my heel. I tried the Medium size and gave up after a vigorous tug of war. The thickness of the Seirus Stormsocks felt a bit like a scuba diving sock. By comparison, the Seirus "Hyperlite" Stormsocks were thinner and were much easier to put on. They fit nicely in my running shoe with no awkward snug fit when I run. They can have the tendency to bunch at the tip if I do not pull them tight over my heels, but I have narrow feet, so that may be a function of my own foot type. I bought the SM/MD Hyperlite Stormsocks over the thicker Stormsocks as they are more conducive to running.

Comments about Seirus Hyperlite Stormsocks Waterproof Socks:
It was 28 degrees this morning (and windy) when I biked to work. These socks under another pair of fleece socks kept my toes comfortable throughout my ride. I wish they made liners to wear under my gloves because my poor fingers were pretty cold for the entire 45 minute commute.

Comments about Seirus Hyperlite Stormsocks Waterproof Socks:
A few of the reviewers have complained about how difficult it is to put on/take off these socks. While true (and I struggled at first with this issue), I would recommend the following - concurrently purchase some BodyGlide and apply liberally to your feet before putting socks on. After the BodyGlide is applied, the process becomes simple.

Comments about Seirus Hyperlite Stormsocks Waterproof Socks:
I want to keep my feet warm on my 23 miles commute to work in the winter. I don't want bulk but need the warmth. They seem to work okay, but will need to experiment with my thick smart wools and compare. However, they are extremely difficult to get on and off, especially if your feet are the least bit sweaty. I think the cut around the ankle need to be less severe or more elastic.

Comments about Seirus Hyperlite Stormsocks Waterproof Socks:
Cons: I am 6'3" 200lbs with shoe size 13 so I bought the XL size (11-13). They are a real pain to get on at this size. I've tried pulling them straight up, rolling them up from the toe, and other variations with little success. The rear (heel) seam is right along the bottom of the heel which makes for uncomfortable long-term travel and likely a few blisters. Front (toe) seam is just between the big and second toe, which is fine for me but people with other toe sizes it could possibly cause blisters if you travel a lot in them.
Pros: Once you get them on (10 minutes later), they feel great on the foot, with the exception of the seams. I don't expect them to be waterproof but they are plenty warm for wading in very cold water.

This socks is the best sock you could wear when skiing! Comfortable, regulates temperature well and very very durable, maybe not a good feature for the company that makes them but awesome for me!!!
