Comments about Seirus Hyperlite Stormsocks:
If you're looking for waterproof socks don't buy these because they're not.

Comments about Seirus Hyperlite Stormsocks:
These socks are great for layering over another pair of midweight socks for winter running. They are thin enough to still fit into your normal size running shoe and have lasted me several seasons without signs of wear. They help my feet stay warm even when the temperature dips below zero degrees Fahrenheit, and keep my feet dry enough when sloshing through sloppy puddles. It's like a pair of softshell trail shoes at a fraction of the cost.

Comments about Seirus Hyperlite Stormsocks:
I love these socks!
I have Reynaud's disease -- a medical condition that describes poor circulation in the extremities, leading to cold fingers and toes all the time. Before I found Storm Socks, I had to be careful about my toes getting dangerously cold, numb, and frostbitten when outside in cold weather.
These are lightweight neoprene socks that act like a "wet suit" for your feet. They are not waterproof, they are designed to keep a warm layer of body heat next to your skin, even if in water or wind.
They are thin and fit inside your regular shoe size. I wear them with cross-country and skate-ski boots as well as telemark ski boots. I also wear them inside hiking boots for winter hiking or snow shoeing.
I've converted at least three other friends to these socks as well! My first pair lasted me two seasons of heavy use, and I am buying my second pair right now.

Comments about Seirus Hyperlite Stormsocks:
I bought these socks and the regular Seirus stormsocks. These socks feel a bit heavier and would probably provide better warmth, BUT they were so tight fitting that I could not get them on over my feet. When I finally managed to get one on, it took me 10 min. to get it off! I returned them to REI and kept the regular stormsock. I ordered the Large, which is my correct size, but the fit was impossible. Ordering the XLarge would have solved the on/off problem, but they would be too bulky and would bunch up in my boots.
