Comments about Seirus Hoodz:
I use this balaclava to go snow boarding. It is hands down the best. Only problem is that I only see it online. I keep trying to buy it at REI so I can make sure I get the right size. These are adjustable and pure heaven to board in. The temperature is always perfect, because you can vent just the right amount of air.

Comments about Seirus Hoodz:
Just bought this over the holidays for camping trip in Arkansas. Temps were in the low 20s at night with a brisk wind of prob 15-20 mph. This one piece of gear is perhaps the most useful device I own for keeping warm. I was truley amazed at the utility and adaptability of this garment. It can be used as cap, face, neck protection, or change it up for neck only, head only, or several combinations. Slept with this on and did not even need my hood on Never Summer 0 degree bag.
This is absolutely the best designed, cold weather head gear I have come across, and while you may look like the unibomber wearing it, you sure wont be cold. :)

Comments about Seirus Hoodz:
I purchased this last year for the main purchase to keep my neck warm. I have arthritis and the cold and wet environments cause a lot of pain. I have wear this when I know it is cold or a lot of wind and it provides me with the added comfort to enjoy the outdoors. I really enjoy it and wished I would have found it earlier.

So I didn't technically buy this. I found it in my house and no one claimed it so I pounced on it. As far as snowboarding and cycling go if it's cold enough to want something for your face this is perfect. The two draw chords make all the adjustments you'll ever need. When both are all the way loose it fits more like the hood of a sweatshirt with a warm neck. It can be worn all pulled down around the neck, only face pulled up, only hood pulled up, hood and face below nose, hood and face above nose, and hood and face above nose tightened all the way up. Each position is great for a different temperature. If I don't have this on the Mountain I'd almost rather not go. It makes riding 100% enjoyable. No sunburn/windburn, no cold face, no cold head and snowboarding goggles fit nicely over the eye opening. I have used other styles of balaclava but long story short, you should get this one.

Comments about Seirus Hoodz:
This is an excellent product.
The only problem I had is one of the elastic cords pulled off its attachment point after about 3 years of use; to be fair, that might have been something the washing machine did. I fixed this easily by snipping the cord, fusing the end with a match, then sewing it back. No biggie.
This is great for sleeping in, walking, hiking, working outside or inside.
The comfort is great, like any fleece against your skin.
The cinches are good quality spring-loaded devices. One cinch tights it around the chin, the other, around the browline.
It is fleece, so you don't get ear noise from it.
If it gets to hot on top, I pull mine down to function as a neck warmer, or if I want to wear a cap, I pull it down for a neck warmer. It won't choke you like standard neck warmers.
Also, a baseball hat can be worn on the underside, if working outside and the sun is out.
It is not something I would wear for a long intervals in strong cold wind, since the wind cuts through it, as it does with standard fleece. I usually go to a cordura or duck shell type pull-over with the knit neck band and front cord cinch. Cathart makes a good one of these, although it is bulky and stiff.

I've owned almost all face/neck masks available on the market and this is the warmest, because it gives you full neck protection. I weared it in 80-100+ wind gust whiteout condition, works perfect!

Comments about Seirus Hoodz:
I bought this to use in cold enviorments. It was pretty warm and dries quickly from the condensation. The thing would ride up and block vision if you use the nose cover portion. After only a week of use, one of the draw strings pulled out and now the whole thing is useless for anything but washing my car.

Comments about Seirus Hoodz:
Just used it last weekend for a 3 day camp out. Weather was in the 20s and 30s all day with a steady rain. I never felt cold or chilled while wearing the hood. Sometimes I used it on just my neck in conjunction with a stocking cap. I love the versatility of the hood. I would not want to camp in cold weather again without it!
