Nikwax TX-Direct 2.0 spray-on water repellent treatment is a safe, non-aerosol spray that restores the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish of your gear.

  • Restores the water-resistant finish to all laminated and coated waterproof, breathable fabrics that begin to ''wet out'' or absorb water over time

      The spray bottles I tried, from two different stores and two other sales people also trying to get it to spray failed. If I were able to get the fluid to spray, I'm sure it would have been effective. I was encouraged to use Wash In instead. I think the waxy nature of this product is not able to be pumped through a straw and sprayer nozzle.

      Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

      I followed the directions to the letter. Washed items with their special wash, too. Applied it to snowboarding gloves, pants and to my rei "waterproof" jacket. Gloves stayed wet, jacket stayed dry for about 2 hours on a hike by Mt St Helens before succumbing to the rain and the pants lasted a day on Mt Hood before they started to soak up the water. God bless high limit credit cards and Gore-Tex Pro Shell because this stuff failed and i upgraded all my stuff so i wouldnt ever be tempted to try it again.

          sprayed on a previously waterproof gortex jacket which lost is efficacy over a period of 10 years. after the jacket dried the water beaded on the jacket, as opposed to soaking in before.
