I have had a pair of these for over two years. The lenses will scratch if you do not pay attention to where you put them (e.g. in a compartment with keys), but I have not had major problems with them. A friend of mine bought four pairs for fieldwork in the Everglades and the only reason he had to replace any is because he lost them. I originally got these for boating because of the polarized lenses and their construction holds up well to salt water. They are also great for driving and everyday use.

These are a great pair of sunglasses. I have owned them for about 2 years now, and have not come accross any problems with them. Bottom Line... you cant beat the quality of these glasses for the price you can buy them.

My girlfriend and I each got a pair of these sunglasses, and within a month the left earpiece had snapped off of both of them. I bought myself one more pair since they were so comfortable and cheap and tried my best to handle them gently, but one month later, guess what, the left earpiece snapped off. Seems to be a pretty universal defect.

I am now on my 4th pair of Chili's the last pair I had was this exact pair. I've never really had a pair of sunglasses that fit well on my head, until I found Chili brand at REI. Unforunately, I've lost 2 and broke the last one playing Frisbee and taking a dive. The joint on one side of the sunglasses broke and unfortunately, I could not snap them together. I still may try to fix them because the lens and frames are still in tack.
For me, my number one priority is for sun glasses to feel comfortable on my head. These are not too loose or too tight. They have some flexibility, which is nice because I do have a bit of a wide head. I commonly stretch out other brands and they would become loose and fall of my head when looking down. The old, "Look there is a fish... and there go my sun glasses." I do not have to worry about my sun glasses falling off.
The longest I have had a pair is probably 10 months of wear before I lost them. I normally prefer to spend 12 dollars or less, but I've realized to get guaranteed satisfaction I always go back to REI to get Chili's. I just try and time it on a sale.
My second priority is sun glare. I like Chili brand because they wrap around your eyes. I have deep set eyes with Chili Brand sunglasses I do not have sun coming from sharp angles they snug nicely around my head.
I can't comment on Good Protection from UV and such, the sticker says they do so I assume it
does.
These are good for hanging out, driving in the car, boating, even riding a bike, I'd take these. I'd like darker or more reflective lens.

I bought these at the Memorial Day sale and by August the blue color was peeling off. That and the lens had funny colored bands across them depending on the angle of the sun.
I was disappointed because they have a great fit, are light weight and nice looking.
Based on this, I would not recommend these, even for the price.

Best glasses for the price. I have owned more expensive glasses but these are a much better value. Never had any problems with them except when I misplace them.
Great glasses, better value.

These glasses are everything I need. I tried some Smiths and some Scotts after I smashed my first pair of these but I went right back when I got tired of spending $100+ on others. I tend to be hard on my glasses. I like that the frame flexes and gives a bit. The arms wrap around my head well so they don't really move or fall off. Personally I doubt you can do better for the price, I mean you can scratch/smash multiple pairs of these glasses for the same cost of scratching/smashing top name brands.
