This is a very good garment and an excellent base layer. That is why I own several pairs. But I am a 38 and I ordered to the sizing chart XL. They legs were fine but the butt was a bit dumpy and the inseam was hanging low. I ordered for a trip and did not have time to reorder before departure. I am sure REI would have corrected this with an exchang if I had time to let them. NOTE TO SELF: next time order 1 size smaller than needed. AND DONT WAIT TO THE LAST MINUTE!!
