I have used 3 pairs of these over the last 3 years and love them. They take up more volume than others but are the only footbeds that allowed my heel pain to go away. I tried many others first, like superfeet and even custom superfeet. The pain never went away until I started using these. I now use them in all my shoes and boots. Don't put on a pair of shoes without slipping them in first.

These are the most amazing foot beds. I was having so much pain from planters fasicitis I had to give up a job that I really enjoyed. I worked on concrete floors and had so much pain that I would cry. I had been to the Dr. and she recomended that I go to a certain shoe store and be fitted with a quality shoe. I did just that and got some inserts that did help a bit. I simply could not afford to have special inserts made and was in such a state of pain that I thought I would never wear another pair of shoes other than a pair of sneekers. I desired to wear GIRL shoes with a dress or skirt not just tennis shoes. I was frustrated with the pain for over a year when I finally had enough. It was after work one day and the pain was just overwhelming that I went to my computer and typed in my deepest desire "to not have pain in my aching feet". Oh please Great Computer come up with something !!! I found this Review about the Sole foot beds. [...] I was able to get in the door and able to come home with 2 Pair of these wonderful foot beds for my poor aching feet. I wore them the next day and worked all day on my feet with out a tear. I mean it I had been just miserable until I found these inserts. It has been 2 years now and I can actually go barefoot again and for short periods of time wear pretty shoes with out inserts. I still wear my tennis shoes most of the time but with out the Sole I do not believe my feet would have improved so dramatically. There has been So Much Improvement. I only wish I had found them sooner. I am grateful for the review that I read that put me on the right path. [...] I use these daily and can not find a thing that I dislike about this product. The combination of a good quality shoe and a little Sole really made a huge difference.

The arches in my feet don't happen where shoemakers like to put the arches in shoes. So it's next to impossible to find arch support that actually supports my arches. Same problem with most inserts. Because these are customizable, they come a lot closer to fitting than anything else I have found. I just wish they made these in women's sizes so they'd be narrow enough to fit in my loafers.

I tried these footbeds to help with planters fasciitis. Backpacked for 17 days through Europe with these in my shoes an never had any pain. Just amazing. My feet never got tired. Used them for mountain hiking and cobblestone streets. They are a good thickness in your shoe, easy to custom fit. Be sure to follow the directions and use them before a major trip/expedition to get your feet use to them.

The insoles are awesome...Ten times better then my orange superfeet insoles. Super custom fit, great padding and shock absorbing over long hikes and backpacking trips. I have not had them for long enough to comment on durability, but they are great so far. Also, anything backed by Ed Viesturs has my stamp of approval as well. Buy these, dont hesitate!

Hi, A regular user of Sole footbeds, I was unsure of these specially-branded Sole footbeds. With the help of my wife Karen, we did a double-blind test. The Viesturs footbeds were the winner. I'm now using them in my everyday shoes, work shoes, work-out shoes, hiking and approach boots. After each use, I always remove the footbeds so that they can air out and extend the life of my footwear. Quality footbeds are worth the investment.

I have been dealing with a very bad case of plantar faciitis and these were an immediate relief (literally). I had custom made orthotics from the doctor made a few years ago and they are absolutely worthless. Over the years I have tried MANY insoles and found that only Keen insoles give me decent comfort. I tried these on and literally went from a limp + heavy pain to NO LIMP & Almost NO pain.....Amazing! The only draw back is their thickness but it makes a difference in comfort. They are expensive and extremely thick, so shoe fitment may be a problem for some. Bottom line is I will put these in any pair of shoes they will fit in. [...] Superfeet (which are very good too) but these blew me away. I will be purchasing a pair of these for all of my shoes! The custom orthotics will go in the trash & will be replaced with SOLE! Great product, especially for those with Plantar Faciitis, high arches and heel pain. Thank You!!!!

I have difficult feet. I toss out the insoles of every shoe I buy and replace them now with these. I've tried almost all of the insoles out there (bad feet will make you do this) including Superfeet. I too, balked at the price, but found it to be well worth it. I've tried these without doing the heat molding - it works, but takes a few days to get them to fit perfectly. The heat molding thing seems weird, but it works - try it.

I bought these because the Superfeet insoles just hurt my feet, even after giving them a month to break in. At first, these hurt too; my ankles and knees hurt for about 2 days. On day 3, they fit like a glove and I haven't look back since. They are extremely comfortable while being very supportive. I use them in a general/ heavy duty backbacking boot and they have yet to have an issue. I plan on buying another pair to put in my snowboard boots...if they're as good in those, I'd be sold for life. These are especially helpful if you need serious arch support. Just hold them up to a comparable pair of Superfeet insoles (I think that would be either the GREENS or the ORANGES) and you'll see AND feel the difference!

After many years of shin splits when running and hiking, I purchased these after being very dissatisfied with Superfeet hard and unsupportive insoles. As soon as I molded these to my shoes and feet, I never had shin pain again. These insoles are so comfortable and fit great inside my trail hiking shoes. I love them so much I'm going to buy a separate pair for my trail runners! I read somewhere that there might be issues with putting external insoles in XCR shoes, but I haven't had any problems so far!
Be sure to bring the shoes you plan to use them with to the store so you can try them in your shoe. They seem to run a tiny bit small.
I traded my one pair between 3 pairs of shoes and they lasted me about 1 year. After that, it's probably worth buying a new pair. Or, getting a pair for each of your most used shoes.
