    I wore my crocs while hiking on the Appalachian Trail. I mean to say that I wore them not just around camp, but also for a couple hundred of the trail miles. I even wore them up Katadin. They are super comfy and many hikers even said worth their weight in gold. Of course, they are super light so it's not a lot of gold, but you get they idea.

        These shoes are GREAT for folks with foot pain! After severely bruising the bottom of my foot, crocs are the ONLY shoes I can wear and walk normally! Yes, they are funky looking, but they are SO comfortable! I toss them into the washing machine when they get grungy and they come out GREAT!

          These are great camp/water shoes for backpacking. They weigh nothing, protect my toes, and I can go wading and they'll be dry almost instantly. Also very comfortable, which is a great after a long day of hiking with a heavy pack.

            Yes, they are ugly but who cares! My feet love them. I've worn them on long flights, walking through muddy terrain,shopping in elegant stores, on cruise ships, driving long distances. They always are comfortable, never stinky, and clean up under any faucet.

            These shoes are great at first. After a while you get used to them and they start to break down. They're great for slip ons and to wear around town. However, if you're really doing a lot of walking or standing on your feet they aren't supportive enough. I tend to wear my crocs nearly year round with socks in cold weather. However, I don't care for them without socks because they get stuffy and hot.

            I found the soles to wear pretty quickly. They definitely are easy to wear and to slip on and off. Also, they're a breeze to clean. Just dunk them in the sink and swish with a little soap, then let air dry.

            I bought my Crocs on sale, and they are good base camp shoes - comfortable and roomy. However, after just a couple of months of fairly light use, the soles are wearing away. The soles also puncture easily. I doubt that these Crocs will hold up for years like my Keen H2s (I definitely would *never* hike in anything beyond an easy flat trail in shoes like these; they are not secure or supportive and to do so is inviting trouble!). They should really hold up better, overall, for outdoor use - which is why I am not recommending them.
