The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about SKS Beavertail Fenders:
I finally found coverage for my 700-35 tires. These fenders provide the proper protection for the front tires. No more soggy shoes and dirty bottom bracket. More bang for the buck !

Comments about SKS Beavertail Fenders:
I just finished installing the SKS Beavertail fenders on a non-suspension mountain bike. My 1.85" wide slick tires fit under them with a 1/4" of fender hanging over either side. No interference with the cantilever style brakes, but it is close. I would prefer a little tighter radius to the curve of the fenders, but I understand they are also made to fit larger wheels than my 26" rims. The supplied hardware should fit a lot of bikes with no modification. The front and rear zinc plated "L" brackets are identical and slide into the fenders with a VERY tight fit. Two different length bolts, washers, and ny-lock nuts also supplied. If your bike fits the hardware, installation should take mere minutes. For the front fender, the bike must have a hole running thru the fork, just above the wheel (my front reflector bracket is attached with a bolt thru this hole). Very straightforward installation and adjustment; I did add a nylon fender washer in between the bracket and the painted surface of the fork. The rear fender bracket attaches to the seat stay bridge or brace. The bracket is designed for the very common flat bar style seat stay bridge with a hole through the center. But, my seat stay bridge is a tube design, with a threaded boss for an M5 screw on the underside (facing the tire). To install the rear fender, I flattened the "L" bracket so it lay almost flush with the fender, and drilled a 5/16" hole in the fender so I could put an M5 cap screw thru the bracket from underneath the fender and into the seat stay bridge. Some small fender washers, a lock washer, and a little dab of RTV should keep it snug. I also drilled holes into the back end of the fender and secured it to my cargo rack with zip ties (hint: to keep a zip-tie loop from tightening, dab crazy glue into the locking slot). They are tougher than I expected for [$]. It took some fiddling with the rear fender, but it is much sturdier than the clamp/strap to seat tube or seat post style I have tried previously.

Comments about SKS Beavertail Fenders:
I bought these fenders for my GT Aggressor mountain bike. I was quite impressed overall. These are made in Germany and came with all the nessesary hardware. Bolts are stainless steel. I had one minor problem which was a very slight interference between the bottom of the fender and the adjusting bolt for front derailleur cable when it moves up and down.

Comments about SKS Beavertail Fenders:
I figured I couldn't go wrong at the price. I wanted lightweight fenders for my touring bike, and thought I could modify these to make them suit my purposes. I didn't have to do a thing except modify the rear mount bracket to fit my bike, a very minor adjustment. They are quiet, stay in place, and provide good protection.

Comments about SKS Beavertail Fenders:
Good looking and very light fenders, unfortunately they don't fit my bike. I have no way of attaching the back fender, no screw holes facing to the rear only underneat so the bracket doesn't fit.
The package arrived with a ripped open plastic bag. The brackets and screws were floating around the box. Almost threw the screws out with the stuffing paper, which would not have made a difference since the screws supplied were more suitable for a tractor fender. Way too large and way too long. Whoever restocked this item made a boo boo.

I bought these fenders for my light weight street bike, they fit great with just a little adjusting, a local bike shop wanted around 45.00 for those heavy chrome ones, these are just what I needed.I could not find these in a local store. Thanks REI, great online shopping and quality items....W. Davis

Comments about SKS Beavertail Fenders:
Got tired of not being able to ride on wet roads withut getting my rear end dirty. Pick up a pair of these at REI and couldn't be happier. Installed them by simply removing on bolt and putting the mount on my bike. :) Happy time when its wet now.
