This scrumptious salmon pasta dish will nearly make you think you're at a fine restaurant, instead of at the end of your favorite trail.

Meal includes a 2-oz. smoked salmon fillet (in it's own pouch) with a traditional pesto sauce containing almonds and sun-dried tomatoes

I was really looking forward to this meal but it was not good at all. We were a long way from more food but we could not finish it. They tried but this one did not work.

Had for dinner after 11 mile hike in the Grand Canyon. It does take longer to cook than it says, but most of the food does!Its not bad for eating on outdoor adventures.

I was surprised to find REAL salmon in the package! The pesto was delicious! It tasted like my local favorite italian hole in the wall. Wow! Super impressed! My friends were all envious. After a long day of kayaking or hiking I would recommend this be a meal for one if this is your only item to eat.

As expensive as this was, I would have expected it to taste better. I couldn't even taste the salmon. And, it definitely needs more time than the instructions say. And, the package was messy after. But, it wasn't AWFUL. I wouldn't buy it again though since there are other things that cost less, but taste better. One big Plus: low sodium compared to other camping food.

Great flavor and a nice change of pace. Like most rehydrated meals, use 1/2 cup less water at first and allow to "cook" for 5 min. more. Its a little heavy on the scale, but it includes a pouch of real salmon. It gave me some ideas of other food combos to make.

The pasta and veggies were great. The salmon smelled and I'm assuming tasted like the canned cat food I give my fluff ball when I feel guilty for leaving her for several days to go camping.

Rating freeze-dried food consumed after a day of hiking when anything with calories will probably taste at least "OK" can be difficult. Still, this meal was very tasty. Like one other reviewer noted, the meal made to directions had what initially seemed like excess liquid, but the flavor was so good I sopped it up with a tortilla.

This was not bad for an instant meal. The first drawback is that the packet of salmon is a bit stingy for the cost of the meal - they'd do better to include two packets. I was left feeling hungry and wanting more.

The second drawback is that the meal came out a bit watery - I'm pretty sure I measured correctly, but I was hungry enough to sip up the remainder and it tasted just fine. Maybe next time I will use a little less water than called for in the instructions.

Tasted great at the end of a long day in the woods. I hadn't done freeze dried food in years and this is leaps and bounds better than my earlier experiences. Also like the high amount of protein in the meal.
