The pump fell apart on the first use! Unbelievable!!! The screws fell out; the threads were stripped; the hose attachment broke off; it leaked air! What a joke!

Comments about Topeak JoeBlow Sprint Floor Pump:

There are not many categories that will make one floor pump stand out over another. The JoeBlow Sprint has all the basic features needed from a good floor pump. I've had this floor pump for 4 year and it's lasted through the ups and downs of my cycling. It is never a problem to accurately pump 100psi into a set of road tires and requires minimal effort to do so. As a pump this gets *****.

What this pump lacks is ruggedness. There are just a few plastic fittings on the pump housing and all my have broken away. #1 the clip the keeps the handle from extending and locked to the base, #2 the clip that holds the hose nozzle to the base, #3 the piece that holds the ball nozzle adapters. For ruggedness I give this *.

If there's a pump out there with hard molded rubber fittings that is what I'd recommend but a few broken plastic tabs won't make me buy a replacement pump. Just keep in mind this is a pump probably better fit for the garage then a car trunk. Averages out to *** in my book.

Comments about Topeak JoeBlow Sprint Floor Pump:

So, I've had this pump less than a year. The bleeder valve broke after about 1 month. The latch to hold the handle to the pump body (for transport/storage) broke off last month. Yes, I use it a lot but I also take very good care of my gear. I like the dual-head valve and the high-mount pressure gauge but I will buy something else when this one finally fails.

I always pump my tires to 140psi and this floor pump has no problem getting to it or higher. Within a minute, my tire is pumped up.

Comments about Topeak JoeBlow Sprint Floor Pump:

This pump is simple and easy to use. No need to move any parts around to switch from a presta valve to a schrader valve (and apparently a dunlop valve). Has the release valve that can come in handy. So far, very durable and still working great.

Comments about Topeak JoeBlow Sprint Floor Pump:

This pump works well for the intended application. I use it on my mountain and road tires. I run some road tires on my Mountain bike that require 90 psi. So instead of having to keep checking with a tire pressure gauge I can get very close to what I need with the pump.

Comments about Topeak JoeBlow Sprint Floor Pump:

Topeak has great customer service, but this is a really lousy pump. Mine has failed twice in the 2 years I've had it, in spite of replacing parts they sent at no cost to me. Don't buy one of these if you're looking for reliability. Either buy something that's designed better or buy a couple so you can keep one working while waiting for parts for the other. This is the last Topeak product I plan on buying, please don't make the same mistake I did.

Comments about Topeak JoeBlow Sprint Floor Pump:

Our van has its own built-in air compressor but it struggles to give more than 35 psi - and our bike tires take 40. The Sprint pump travels with us when we take the bikes to wherever we're riding and works perfectly OK. Decent price. Wide enough base for one's feet to stabilize. Really like it that the pressure gauge is up high on the shaft where it can easily be seen. Two-way valve (we use the Schraeder) fits tight, releases without undue air loss.

Comments about Topeak JoeBlow Sprint Floor Pump:

Gets up to pressure quickly, even for fat off road tires. I agree that the SmartHead is not as easy to disengage as I'd like, but it is nice to have one pump for both Presta and Schrader valve types on one pump. Feels durable enough for home use and with care should last quite a while.

Comments about Topeak JoeBlow Sprint Floor Pump:

This pump makes me happy. It starts me off on a ride faster. I used to use an old pump and separate gage- and an adapter for presta valves. The best feature is having the dial near the handle. The dual presta/schrader head works great
I don't like spending on money on something I can live without, but I must say this was money well spent.
