      I have used REI lightweight MTS bottoms for years and they are one of the most practical, useful items I own. I use them as pajamas, under sweats or fleece around the house when it's cool, or as a base layer when it's cold outside. They're great!

      been wearing these to work under street clothes due to near and below zero temps and love the fit except near the ankles. My legs are not heavy, yet it takes some real tugging to get the cuff at the ankle of the pair I own over my heels. On the plus side, the tight fit makes it easy to hide them under the knee socks I wear over them.

      Wondering if this is just a quality control issue with this pair, or an overall design flaw.

      I would recommend these with reservations to friends with trim ankles.
      I would not recommend these to women with fuller legs

        I LOVE these! They're very comfortable and keep me nice & warm while hiking/camping. They're great under rain gear. The best part is the elastic waist band - it doesn't bite like some others do. They're literally so comfortable I forget I'm wearing a base layer.

          I was hopeful when I went to try these bottoms on, but, unfortunately, they are just as uncomfortable and awkward as most other long underwear out there. I don't know about you, but I hate it when the waist band comes up several inches above my natural waist. I can't figure out why long underwear are always shaped like this...can someone please make some in a more modern fit already?
