I broke my ankle snowboarding and have been building my foot back up ever since. This ankle wrap has helped protect my ankle and give me more confidence to train on local trails in preparation for the the backpacking season. The figure 8 wrap really works but my only gripe is that it does increase how much room your foot takes up in your shoe a lot. Other than that, I think this is a good purchase over just a compression brace.
