Great save on my roller skate boot!
I play roller derby and have customers skates that have a zip-up lace cover. Not only is the cover functional by protecting my laces, but it also ads a sleek look to my boot. The zipper pull itself broke of making it very difficult to zip up the lace cover. I just happened to stumble across these zipper pulls while at REI for something else. I was so excited to see these!! The cord was just the perfect thickness that I was barely able to get it through the little opening to make it work. My skates are matte black, just like the pull and have a strap where I am able to tuck the pull under and not have anything dangle. This was the perfect solution to my zipper issue!!
Zip Ties are the BEST
The no skid grips are great in bad weather, both rain and very cold temperatures. Any kind of mitten or glove easily can grasp these pulls and can open or close a zipper with ease. I have replaced all my factory zipper tabs with these from REI
Very thin, break easy
They are very thin and break easy, was talked into these buy rei employee because they were out of the thicker heavy duty ones they normally have. By the way they have been out of the thicker ones for 3 months now and don’t show the tag on the self any longer. Since all they have is the cheap stuff I went to the cheap stuff source - amazon and found heavy duty ones that don’t break. Less expensive and delivered to my house. Sorry REI, but you disappoint more often then satisfy
As good as a zipper pull can be
I never realized how much of a difference an ergonomic design on a zipper pull could make.
handy items
Zipper pulls age with time and can pull off at a moments notice. These were a good price for the quality, to have extras around for a quick fix when a zipper pull breaks. Some one may want longer pull tabs which would be a personal choice.
Do the Job
They do the job. They are easy to apply and easy to grab and pull on.
Nothing wrong with them, but....
One of the zipper pulls on my Osprey pack broke, and I went looking for a replacement. These pulls were the *only* ones offered in the store, which surprised me. Too bad, because I really like the pulls that you can hook your finger through - if I could find them, I’d replace these in a heartbeat, even though they are perfectly serviceable and were easy to put on.
Simple helpers
After fumbling with a few zippers during a winter hike, I grabbed a pack of these and found that even with my gloves on I was typically able to successfully find and manage various zippers with considerably less frustration. It would be nice to have color options so that they can stand out against darker clothing.
Great to have on hand
Bought items just in case, little did I know I would need one the next day. Was so thankful to already have them on hand. So far they have been a blessing and great to have in a pinch. Durable and easy
Works well with gloves
Nice small extension to small zippier tabs with out being obvious or slapping around while riding fast on a motorcycle but can still use your thicker cold weather gloves to move the zipper
