          The spaces for the eggs are too small to fit commercial size eggs. They should make them fit larger size eggs.

              I had one of these years ago...and vaguely remembered it being small - but thought "what are the chances that 10yrs later they haven't fixed that?"

              Well - they haven't!

              These containers are TOO SMALL for virtually all commercial eggs that you find in grocery stores (maybe the smallest size fits, but the majority of sizes don't).

              Such an easy thing to fix - such a shame they don't fix it.

              Make sure you either KNOW your eggs or small - or don't buy this :)

                I've used the 'dozen' egg holder from Coghlan for years--camping and canoe trips. The cups are too small for the large size eggs which are the common size in stores. Additionally, the 4 plastic tabs at the bottom--which are supposed to cushion the eggs are too stiff, and occasionally puncture the shell. I usually have an egg or 2 break. OK for hard boiled. This is a great concept, Coghlan should make the cups larger and redesign the cushioning! The only reason I would recommend this is that I've not found another style.

                great little egg carrier. i have both the dozen, and half dozen carriers. i use one of them on just about every camping trip i go on. i've never had an egg break, but no, you can't fit large eggs, you need to buy smaller ones. i cut the handles off to make it easier to fit in my pack. the only reason i put "spills" as a con, is because there is no seal of any kind on it. if an egg did happen to break, it would make a mess. i solved this concern easily enough though by putting it inside a big ziplock bag.

                  Pretty nice way to carry some eggs, never had any break inside. Eggs taste so good in the morning and this is definitely my preferred way to carry them.
