by fromTerrible Fit and Inconsistent Sizing Based on all the great reviews, I bought three pairs of these, each in a different color but all in size small. What a disappointment! I'm 5'8, 155 pounds with a 30-31" waist, so I ordered size small. The thighs and waist band fit me, but in between was a tailoring disaster. The pouch was way too high to serve any practical purpose except perhaps to contain a beer belly. All three pairs also had areas of loose and bunched-up fabric in inappropriate places. To make matters worse, the sizing varied wildly from pair to pair. The black pair fit (just) OK, the blue pair was too big, and the white pair was gigantic. The waist of the black came to just below my navel. The blue and white pairs rode well above my navel, Pee-Wee Herman style. If you have a big gut, no package, and don't care about style or fit, buy these. Otherwise, look elsewhere. (JM makes some great boxer briefs.)

by fromNot what they are hyped up to be. Wow. These are not at all what they are hyped up to be. I purchased a pair and the Gordini Silkweight Boxer Briefs at the same time, and the Gordini's smoke the ExOfficio's at every level of comfort and performance. I will be returning these to REI for the following reasons: holds moisture, makes me sweat more in an area you don't want to sweat more, not breathable, the legs ride up, the crotch bunches up in the corners behind your boys, the elastic waist pulls my man hairs even after manscaping, and they over twice the price of the Gordini Silkweight Boxer Briefs which don't have any of the above problems. The only thing that The ExOfficio's have that the Gordini's don't is a front access flap. This was a huge disappointment after reading all of the reviews praising these underwear as the bees knees...more like the bees[*].

by fromI don't get the hype Wow I don't understand all the positive reviews claiming that these would be excellent travel underwear. The material feels very nice on the skin, but the way these briefs are cut doesn't make any sense. There is very little room in the back, and way too much room in the front. If I want underwear with no support or prevention of chaffing, then I will just wear boxer shorts, which have better ventilation and are WAY cheaper. I would recommend under armour boxerjocks instead.

by fromDisappointed After all the great reviews and after looking at the product on-line, I thought this would be a slam dunk. After getting them and trying them on I was very dissapointed. The crotch fit very low and offered no support at all. They were also alot looser fitting than they looked on the manequins. I will be returning them and getting some of the REIs. They seem to fit much better.

by fromDisappointed - Ride Up Terribly I was so hopeful for these boxer briefs to be all that others reviewed them to be. So hopeful in fact that I bought 4 pairs when they were on sale - a lot of money to put down on boxer briefs. Putting them on initially I thought they were wonderful - they were super soft, lightweight, breathable, and comfortable. Then I started moving around in them and in about 1/2 hour I was trying to deny the fact that they were riding up. I loved everything else about them so much that I so wanted them to be the perfect boxer briefs. So I tried on a second pair, thinking maybe it was just the one pair. The second pair rode up just as badly. After a few hours of discomfort and pulling them down repeatedly, I moved beyond denial and acknowledged that all 4 pairs were going back to REI. So close, yet so far away. I am not one to complain, but the riding up was absolutely terrible. I am a medium build in the legs, so I find it hard to believe that most of the other reviewers have not experienced them riding up. ExOfficio needs to make the legs fit tighter. They will ride up. I have tried lots of pairs and am going back to Under Armor.

by fromSilly Fit When the weather turned hot and muggy, I started to get chaffing issues from my cheap cotton underwear. I tried a pair of ExOfficio Give-N-Go and they were the most expensive and poorest fitting underwear I have ever owned. The waist fit perfectly per their sizing chart. However, the vertical distance between the waist and crotch was excessive. When I pulled them up, the waist band reached my rib cage! When I pulled the waist band down to my waist, the crotch dangled 6" beneath my goods and provided no support; just acres of loose fabric. By my estimate, these should fit a 12ft tall man with a 32" waist. That said, the material and quality look good. Because most of the reviews were positive, I wonder if my experience was a fluke. Others have noted inconsistent fit between identically sized pairs but this was plain silly.

by fromBoxer Brief vs Standard Brief I have used the briefs and find them excellent. I ordered a few pairs of the boxer briefs in the same size and they are HUGE. Effectively cannot wear them.

by fromOne Complaint I am average size - 5'9" and 165, and usually purchase large size. Love the look and feel, but the waistband tends to stretch and ripple and wear out quickly. Too bad; love 'em but won't buy them anymore.
