MH has lost it's way and I'm kinda mad that I bought 2 of these.

I'm an archaeologist who works daily in the worst of the worst. I lost my old shirt in the woods of Ft. Bragg. Definitely not as good as the original and it's easy to see that the changes were made to be cheaper. Gone is the underarm and side torso venting. I also enjoyed the old FLEXIBLE buttons--easy to button one handed. It takes me 5 minutes to button the sleeve straps now as I struggle. I was also proud of the brand logo being visible but I suppose even MH is ashamed of this new product. I'm frankly mad at myself for losing a favorite shirt AND at MH for not making one that adequately replaces it.

Fantastic travel shirt

I bought this shirt for general travel but specifically for a trip to Belize in Sept. Could not be happier. I was very comfortable on the plane despite the hot airplane in Houston. While in the jungle it did exactly as advertised. kept the hot sun off me, yes I was hot and sweaty but as soon I stopped in the shade it cooled me down. I washed it in the shower and hung up over night and the shirt was dry the next morning. Thought I'd add my review simply because I'm on the website looking to get a couple more of these shirts. I'm 5-10 190lbs typically wear size large and this fits perfectly.

Best Everyday Wear Shirt

Best all around shirt ever. Comfortable, Durable, and Attractive. Easy to hand wash, and great for Travel. Provides excellent sun protection for arms, and can easily transition to short sleeve if desired. I have used these shirts for 2nd layer daily wear for decades. I have no idea how many I have purchased. As the shirts age, I switch from everyday wear to yard work wear. I wear them until I can see thru them. Highly recommend. Will not disappoint.

Great

Bought two, in stone and zinc. The fit and finish is spot on. I was strictly a Patagonia guy, but poor availability of the Patagonia tech shirts had me venture out to these. No regrets. I get compliments on the fit and color. My only feedback would be adding buttons to the collar to keep the collar from flapping in your face in high winds. Aside from that, these shirts are perfect in the Sonoran Desert or for deep-sea fishing off Charleston.

Okay I’m not a synthetics guy…but….

This is an awesome, fast drying, lightweight hiking shirt. I honestly say that I don’t own anything I wear that isn’t cotton, linen, wool or leather, if you don’t count shoes. So this was a real learning experience for me. The fit was perfect (I’m a 5’9 and 165 lbs guy with wide-ish hips) and I bought this shirt for a trip to Costa Rica, where I knew I was going to sweat buckets…and I did. But it was all wicked away by this shirt as I hiked, and even when wet from downpours it dried very quickly. I didn’t feel like I was wearing a plastic bag (my greatest fear) and it still looked great coming off the trail, so I wasn’t shamed as I walked into a restaurant. The two concealed zipper pockets on the chest might be useful for cash or cards although I haven’t used them and I am mystified by the extra tab on the underside of the back of the collar….maybe for a camera or binocular strap…? But that is probably my ignorance. Great product, highly recommended.

Dressy enough for a cruise!

Bought this for a friend with a skin condition that was going on a cruise. He said it was comfortable and dressy enough for dinner yet cool enough for the beach to keep the sun off. Two thumbs up!

Color different than picture

Shirt seems nice but the zinc color is a much lighter shade of blue in the photo. The actual shirt was more like a deep navy blue. I will unfortunately be returning it.

I own several. Great for travel and everyday. My favorite is still the orange, purchased 8+ years ago. Wish they'd offer more bright colors.

Quick dry, kept me cool, great fabric, nice pockets!

I used these shirts (gray and blue versions) during a recent trip in Madagascar, photographing lemurs, bushwhacking in the forest with a lot of underbrush, etc. I didn't notice any snags from the prickly underbrush. I wore a size larger than normal to help keep me more cool, and had to adjust the button on the cuffs, since the cuff were so big. The shirt was super comfortable, and kept me cooler than other shirts that I wore. They also dried quickly after washing them in the room, and looked great. The part that I liked the best (other than the sun protection--never needed sunscreen!) is the pockets. There are 2 chest pockets with buttons which are easily seen on the photos, but there are also 2 zippered pockets under the button pockets (between the button pockets and your chest) for items that you wish to keep secure. Also, the drape of the fabric is quite nice, as it has enough body to hang "away" from your arms and torso, which helped to keep me cooler in the hot and humid forests of Madagascar. It isn't water resistant, which allowed me to treat the shirt with permethrin insect repellent which was key as well. Overall, great shirt, and I am thinking of picking up a couple more for everyday use.
