    Comments about Warmers Paddling Pogies:

    I was going on a three-day, two-night sea kayaking trip in Kenai Fjords National Park in Alaska and needed suitable handware. The guide recommended pogies. I was leary of buying something so specific to a particular sport. I leaned more toward neoprene gloves, thinking they would be more versitile and could be used for a wider range of activities. However, on the guide's recommendation, I decided to buy pogies.

    I went shopping for pogies and found these Warmer brand pogies at REI.com and ordered a pair. They were perfect for the trip. The pogies open up and wrap around the paddle and then close with velcro tabs. Your hands slide easily in and out of the pogies. This enables you to fiddle with your other gear (take photos, etc.) but swiftly put your hands back in the warm and protected environment of the pogies.

    Pogies may not be versatile, but they are perfect for the application. This brand was very comfortable and well made.
