Not just for hiking

I bought a couplke pairs of these for hiking and loved them so much that they are now all I wear. I have some that are now five years old and show no signs of wear. The elastic is as good as new. I never had cotton show anything like this durability, much less comfort. As an added benefit, the snap-closed plastic packaging they com in makes a great map case - just the right size for my pocket.

Nice while they last

Very comfortable and effective at handling moisture and wetness. However, I've now had all 3 separate pairs' waistband elastic simply disintegrate after a few years of light use. I save them for travel and hiking, and often hand-wash when necessary, and the disintegration occurred while they were just sitting in a drawer. So it must be a factor of age, not usage or exposure. This was very disappointing given their cost. Inexpensive cotton briefs last longer than these. Thus, they're probably a better product when the need is intensive use over a short time period than infrequent use over a long one. Keeping my eyes open for a different wicking/quick-drying brand that will better fit my usage needs.

very comfortable

I don't travel alot, so when I do travel, I like to travel light. Everything in one bag, so I don't have to check in a extra bag at the airport. I tossed in just two pair of these shorts for a five day trip to Chicago & for the whole trip, thats all I needed. washed the night after wearing them, & a few hours later it was fresh & clean to wear again. Amazingly comfortable next to the skin, & you don't get that hair pinch thing going on, or that crampy "I have to let these boy's breath a little" feeling, you get with alot of mens briefs. I plan to buy pants, socks & whatever else in the "Give-N-Go style to pack even less. I love this stuff.

Give and Go..Tried and Proven!

Had 4 pair that I liked but "out grew" so I purchased 6 more pair (4 briefs & 2 regular boxers) albeit they are in a "slightly" larger size. This is an excellent product. Holds shape, size are are a good value for your investment. Very comfortable and cool for warmer climates but work well in cooler climates also. Gr888 for multiple days of travel as you can easily wash them in a sink, wring them out and they will dry quickly. I kept a couple of pair of my cotton briefs and boxers but since these arrived I have used my EXOFFICIO un's exclusively. Bottom line they perform as advertised. I recommend you try a pair or three. Absolute best brief on the planet

There are so many good reviews about this product, why give another one ? Because it deserves it. I used to buy cotton underwear that I would need to replace once a year. 10$/pair. These are 18$/pair, a little more pricey, but I bought 10 of those BACK IN 2003 (and we are in 2010). I wear, wash and dry these underwear ONCE A WEEK. And after 7 years, they are still with me. This is like unreal. So yes they cost me 18$ when I bought them, but over 7 years, it's more like 2$. You do the math. And it's not only about price. They are super confortable and they don't stink after a couple of days in the washing bin. Absolute master piece.

Best fitting travel briefs I have ever worn

These are the most comfortable fitting briefs I have ever found. I wear the large and have a 36 inch waist. They fit snug around the leg and don't creep. The rise is high enough for a mature fit. My only issue is keeping the white color briefs white. The white nylon tends to stain easily. I take vitamin C which turns my urine yellow, and the if I dribble I have a yellow stain that is hard to get out. Best product I've found is Resolve stain remover or Rit whitening powder. The other solution is buying and wearing the black color. Don't dry them in a dryer or send them out to a wash and fold. Hang to dry only after removing as much dampness as possible.

Wherehave you BEEN all my life

I have purchased this multiples of this products, three different times. Simply put: they are FANTASTIC! So comfortable - you forget you're wearing them! Great support - in all the right places, too! My other long-time brand of underwear, just plain "let me down" - if you know what I mean. Even their "new & improved" offerings! They do dry quickly, but - I'd plan on traveling with more than 2 or 3 pair - depending upon your trip length, frequency you'll want to wash, climate where you're traveling. I found it took more than just 8 hours to really be dry. But, you'll not catch me with another brand of underwear ON my 'butt'!

Great For Workouts

I have worn Exofficio's "Give & Go" briefs in all colors for over a decade. I primarily wear them when working out @ 24 Hour Fitness and when skiing. The Exofficio briefs move very well with you, breathe well and wick sweat effectively. They are also one of the few brands, ie Under Armour/Nike/Champion/etc, that offer a true brief for activewear. Also, unlike the other brands mentioned, the Exofficio white brief and boxer brief are completely white (including waistband) and do not stand out through white training shorts. I can attest that these underwear last "forever" and highly recommend them for activewear or everyday wear.

Staying Cool Down Under

My wife and her friends think I've crossed the line when I recommend Ex Officio Briefs to my friends and relatives who live here in Florida. I think maybe it is either that they are not working up a sweat as often as my male friends or that their different anatomys allow them to be cooler "down under." My best friend is a park ranger who is in the humid woods all summer long. My brother-in-law is a builder. They complain about the discomfort of staying wet "down under" from morning til night. It doesn't take long to find out that there is a BIG, BIg difference between the cotton underpants your mother bought you and breathable, wicking, quick drying Ex Officio Briefs.

Great underwear, but a fair warning

Bought a pair of these over the summer and loved them, so I bought a bunch more to start off the school year and that's where things went a bit sour. The durable construction and material is extremely good for a long life-span, but is not exactly good when it's being wedged between your buttocks and fastened to the hook in a school restroom. Where as most underwear would give out almost immediately, these can easily support your weight for hours without signs of giving in. I'd highly recommend them still, but if you happen to receive wedgies, be warned that they'll last a lot longer if you're wearing these.
