Comments about Princeton Tec Pulsar II LED Light:
I love the light it gives, kept it on my keychain but,...it turns on too easily and when I needed it it was already dead because it turned on somehow.I will not keep one again on my keychain. I am using another one now.Too bad. I would rather have the old style without a switch.

Comments about Princeton Tec Pulsar II LED Light:
I went rock climbing to Yosemite last Labor day and got stuck on the rock a little longer then me and my cousin anticipated. By the time we got to the top the sun had set and all we had was this light. It lit up the path just fine we used it for almost three hours strait.I still haven't changed the battery which is wonderful!!!
I have one on my key chain now to as well as an extra one on my harness...
I think everyone should have one.
The light beem is very bright and is easy to turn on and off. I have not had problems with the switch...I've had it for two years now...

Comments about Princeton Tec Pulsar II LED Light:
Switch is sometimes erratic on new lights and becomes so after battery replacement. Replacing the battery is problematic: the "switch" is simply a plastic slider that presses one of the LED's leads (a light-weight wire) against the adjacent battery terminal. This wire is soft and does not tolerate more than one battery replacement before the whole affair becomes intermittant.

Comments about Princeton Tec Pulsar II LED Light:
I was looking for a sturdy light, with replaceable batteries, for my keychain. I was disappointed that the switch on this flashlight was too soft. I wondered if my experience was common, so I searched the internet and REI, and found these reviews mentioning the soft switch.
I decided to look at the inside of the flashlight, to see if I could stiffen the switch. The battery replacement instructions on the package gave me courage. Opening the case is not too easy because it is strong and tight. It requires prying all around with a small screwdriver. I carefully lifted off the top half. It seems like the LED is secured somehow, which is good, so it doesn't fall out. But you still need to be careful not to let the batteries fall out after you remove the cover.
Here is what I did to stiffen the switch:
After removing the cover, gently lift the thick wire (LED terminal) and bend it straight upward a slight amount, so when you let go it points up at a 10 or 20 degree angle (instead of lying nearly flat on the surface of the battery.)
Then carefully put the top half of the case back in place, lining up the little pins that need to fit into their matching holes, and squeeze it together. The case is made of amazing indestructible plastic, which is good, because it requires a lot of pressure to close it again. You have to pinch it from all sides to get it closed all the way.
I haven't had the light long enough to rate the durability or long battery life, but I am expecting they will be good.

Comments about Princeton Tec Pulsar II LED Light:
Bought this light to replace a pinch-only model. Unfortunately the switch is both hard to use and unreliable. Most of the time the switch fails to turn the light on at all. Recommend choosing another brand. That's what I'm going to do.

Comments about Princeton Tec Pulsar II LED Light:
I carry this with me on a key ring, in my purse - all the time. When I need a quick light unexpectedly, it always performs. It bounces around and is scruffed against other things and has never turned unintentionally been turned on. Very convenient and reliable. I have given several as surprise gifts.

Comments about Princeton Tec Pulsar II LED Light:
I put this light on my keychain and stuck it in my pocket. Some time later I pulled it out to find that the switch was turned on. I don't know how much battery was used up in the meantime.
Maybe mine is defective, but it takes almost no effort to slide the switch into the on position.
It's still worth having if you keep it where it won't turn itself on accidentally, or where you will notice it if it does. But I'll keep my old Photon Microlight II in my pocket.

Comments about Princeton Tec Pulsar II LED Light:
I've gone through 2 of these, and I won't bother buying a third. I wanted a small emergency light to attach to my key ring, and the two-way (squeeze on and constant on) switch sounded great. But the switches broke in both lights after simply being carried around in my pocket for a few months. The lights became unreliable after only minimal switch use.

Used to work well. Now the light is fading after 2 months use. Probably need to change battery or light.

Comments about Princeton Tec Pulsar II LED Light:
great little light -- so light you can forget you have it, but good for myriad applications in most conditions. I've bought so many I should get a bulk discount.
