Wasn't sure how well this would compress my clothes/sleeping bag until I got home and was blown away. I'm using mine as a waterproof compression sack for backpacking. Its 1/5 the price of other options this size. The problem with other dry compression sacks is that they make everything you compress into hard melon sized balls that waste backpack space. with this one, i just crammed my sleeping bag in, folded excess sack space over and zipped. Then i squeezed out all the air by pushing from above, then set it on its side and sat on it. This compressed my sleeping bag into a very compact rectangle that fits the bottom of my backpack perfectly. You can also compress things flat or in other shapes to fit your backpack space perfectly. See the pictures! compressed my bag 50%!

Great item for any type of travel. We pack our clean clothes in them when we backpack or canoe and switch them out ont the trail for the dirties. Keeps everything dry, reduces space requirements and controls odor.

We just got back from a week long trip to Hawaii. This solved the problem of what do you do with a week's worth of dirty under garments and socks for two people. Usually, this is a hotel laundry bag of items which is large and bulky. All the items fit in this bag and compressed into nothing. This saved a lot of space for other items we purchased on the trip.
