The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about SKS Shockboard Front Fender:
The mounting hardware provided by SKS does not fit my 2005 Marzocchi suspension fork. The smallest mounting plug had to be filed down to work. Even after that, the fender is designed to sit further back on the mounting bracket but is blocked by the head of the fork. As a result, the fender is just barely held in place and easily dislodges.

Comments about SKS Shockboard Front Fender:
This fender does a good job of keeping the mud out of my eyes and mostly off of my body. Personally, I would prefer a smaller fender, but all I care about is keeping the mud out of my eyes. If you want to stay as dry and clean as possible, this is a great fender. I have taken a couple of falls, and the fender is still in one piece.

Comments about SKS Shockboard Front Fender:
I have used this product for YEARS...and Ive only busted one...I liked it because it was smaller then the "THE" fender..and lightweight...I would not go MTBing without one...keeps water/mud/whatever off your frontside....it does its job very well...I HIGHLY recommend it.

Comments about SKS Shockboard Front Fender:
I commute to work everyday in Chicago, and purchased, I think the Planet bike first, for my old school Schwinn Homegrown with a Judy, well it did not fit well at all. Would not clear the V-Brakes, this one is perfect, and provides decent protection. Mounting is key in my opinion, and this particular fender fits MY bike as if it were made for the fork/brake combo! The set-back is what was key to getting a good fit/clearing the brakes.

Comments about SKS Shockboard Front Fender:
I opted for this over the cheaper planet bike bog fender because it looked sturdier. It was easy to install on my 2000 manitou shock. Just make sure to use the right quick disconnect so it clears the brace when the fork compresses. Only used it once but it worked great. It won't keep your shoes dry but it kept my upper body clean while riding through deep puddles.
