Comments about SKS Xtra-Dry Rear Seatpost Fender:
Longs story short...I got this for my Rocky Mountain Slayer (full suspension) but have to return it because even when hiked way up on the seat post, it still will scrape on the back tire when you take a big hit. I wouldn't say it's a safety concern, but I had to have the thing sticking up higher than my actual seat for it to work ok. Then it's a pain when you kick your leg over to start riding. I'm gonna trade in for the carbon fiber one REI also sells.

Comments about SKS Xtra-Dry Rear Seatpost Fender:
This was a pretty good fender, for the short time I owned it. Keeps you pretty dry, and super easy to install. Unfortunately, also super easy to steal. If you bike around the city, I'd recommend taking the fender with you when you lock up your bike... Only problem is you have carry around a wet, muddy fender. Good fender, but there's probably no way to keep the ease of use, and eliminate the ease of stealing it. But it is fairly cheap to replace I guess

Comments about SKS Xtra-Dry Rear Seatpost Fender:
I use this on my commuting bike for days when rain or snow has dampened the road. This fender does a pretty good job of keeping moisture off of the rider's back. If the puddles are too deep, then you may get a little wet, but no fender will keep you completely dry. The benefit to this fender is that it installs in seconds so you can put it on the bike only on days that call for a fender and remove it for dry days.

Comments about SKS Xtra-Dry Rear Seatpost Fender:
This fender is very easy to install. But it does get loose easy, too, and easy to steal, as well.It works great for keeping most of the mud off, but in the city in a downpour it failed to keep my back from getting wet and dirty. Overall, a well-made product, and at about [$] at REI, a good buy.

Effective, inexpensive and simple. Of the many fenders I've used over the last 10 years, this one has been my favorite.

Comments about SKS Xtra-Dry Rear Seatpost Fender:
I ride a road bike that I mainly use for commuting to school and work and on rainy days this fender does very well in keeping my back dry. It is extremely easy to remove and put back on. It is easily knocked crooked by other people at public bike racks, but it's so easy to put back in place that it doesn't bother me a bit. Works like a charm.

Can move off to the side with mountain bike bouncing around. Over-all it works great!

Comments about SKS Xtra-Dry Rear Seatpost Fender:
Just one strap and you are ready to ride. It keeps most mud off your back. May need to be adjusted if it is hit by any objects, but it will only take a second or two. Inexpensive as well.
