The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Park Multi Tool - MT-1:
I've used this tool to do all sorts of things: adjust my brakes, straighten handlebars, tighten screws, etc. It's great to be able to carry it in my pocket and have it available for use on the fly. I just put it on my keychain and go. I bought it and the Park I-beam 2 multitool at the same time last December, and let me put it this way: I haven't used the I-beam yet.

Seat binder bit smaller than standard 4 mm size and may strip bolt head.
Flat-blade bit narrow.
No 7 mm bit as described.

Comments about Park Multi Tool - MT-1:
I've gotten other tools as gifts, while away and in need of one, and just because I thought the news whizzy thing might be better. Nope. I keep going back to this classic. No moving parts, slips into any small space. Each seat bag has one of these in it. No, I can't reach inside my STI levers, but that doesn't happen so much on my daily rides. I may have lost or given away one or two, but I've never broken or stripped one.

Comments about Park Multi Tool - MT-1:
This tool may be okay for use an an emergency tool, it did manage to adjust everything on my 96 Specialized, but when it was taken to the seat fastener on my buddies road bike, it snapped, needless to say, it's heading back to REI first chance I get. I also had trouble getting the unit to turn bolts in the brakes because of the various bits coming off the wrench heads, chomped my finger more than once. I took the time to study the steel segments that broke, and having a history in the knife industry, I could immediately see this was not a forged or heat treated steel, it was in fact a powder cast steel, which makes it extremely prone to breaks like this because it doesn't have the right molecular alignment to be put under torsional stress. If you want it as a lightweight last resort tool, it will work, but for continuous use, this will not hold up.

Great road bike tool. Cheap way to drop some weight (I've not ever come across another that is lighter). Only negative is that it doesn't have a chain tool, which would be desirable to take when going far off road.

I have tried several multi tool and find this the best of them all. It is small and compact yet easy to grip and use. Many of the others seem like overkill for carrying for day rides.

Comments about Park Multi Tool - MT-1:
Simple, effective, high quality essential, for all cyclists. The best tools are the ones that you want to use and that don't let you down. Wrap some bright electrical tape around the middle, so's not to lose it in the grass at the side of the trail.....

Comments about Park Multi Tool - MT-1:
I have had this for years, and I never ride without it. It's not as high-tech, fancy or impressive looking as other bike multi-tools, but it is effective, and just the thing to have when you need to make quick adjustments while out riding. It's also lighter and more compact as well. While other multi-tools have come and gone, I'm glad to see that Park still makes this one.
