Keeps yo taint slick
I'm addicted to Chamois butter. I use it every ride. It makes a noticeable difference in butt and taint pain you might experience from not riding much or riding sporadically. rub it all over anything hairy you keep in your shorts. It allows your seat to move about your privates without grinding what would be dry hair and skin. It's an absolute must.
Smooth as BUTT'r
After some recent discomfort from all day adventure races, I decided it was time to try out some chamois cream and all I can say is WOW; Chamois Butt'r does not disappoint. It felt clean and non-greasy to put on and performed exactly as indicated during an all day ride in 95 degree heat. Felt great at the end of the day and not a bit of discomfort. Don't know why I haven't tried it sooner. Fantastic product.
No more saddle sores!
This stuff works! I don't know why I have gone so long, decades, before becoming a dedicated user of chamois cream. I logged 6000+ miles last year and nearly as much for many a year before that, never with chamois cream, but always with saddle sores. This year, with a lot of long indoor sessions, we're talking three hours, that were painful, I finally started using it, and lo and behold, long indoor rides have gone from excruciatingly painful to merely a bit uncomfortable, and no more saddle sores.
Works great
Use for biking and running. Works great washes out of clothes without staining.
Best stuff, worth every penny!
Chamois Butt'r got rid of my saddle sores and now keeps them from happening again. I've also used it hiking, kayaking, running or any other time I subject my skin to friction. For me it lasts well beyond any other product I've used and it is keeping my butt happy!
It's a necessity - just buy it
Do you have a bike? Do you ride for more than an hour at a time? Do you sit on your butt while riding? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you may need this product (or something similar). I purchase this one over other brands mostly because it comes in a bluish/purple tube, which I find makes it easy to tell apart from the other stuff in my bag at a glance. That's super handy when you are trying to find the butt paste in a tent at 5 AM. Having biked for a week straight with this stuff and used it on multiple other occasions, I can definitely say it works. Cons? Well, at the end of a day of riding, you'll definitely want to shower off. This + sweat makes for a rather nasty combo, but you can re-wear your bib the next day without washing if necessary.
Great stuff
Had some issues until I got this product and they disappeared immediately. Very effective and easy to use. Not "oily" or "heavy" either. You don't realize you have it on...until you finish your ride and realize you haven't chafed...
Not just for cycling!
I bought this mainly for biking but I later found out that it was very useful for any other situation where chaffing skin was a problem. Great stuff, no smell, or weird chemicals. Just a bit pricey for the amount.
Taint no better
Riding without it is foolish. Protect your undercarriage for future adventures. I have tried others but this one has always held up to the longest rides, 3,4,5 hours in the saddle still spinning.
Not sure if better than powder on Coolmax
I have been cycling for many years and more recently gotten into multi-day touring. On modern pads, made of Coolmax fabric and not actual animal hide, I had been using just Gold Bond powder, to keep things dry. That has worked well for me. For this trip, I tried this product. I found no significant advantage to using Butt'r, and powder is easier to use and clean up. I will use up this tube, but don't plan on buying again. It might be good for a long ride in very wet weather.
