      The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

by fromJust the right tools Excellent knife. She picked this one out and I couldn't disagree. It had the tools I wanted her to have on it, like the awl and the saw blade. And it had the scissors which she really wanted. Good value and I didn't have to have it shipped! Sitting in her purse where it was intended to go...

by fromGreat Starter Knife Great knife, was my first Swiss Army many years ago, all the rave reviews on these knives are still true. Huntsman model is a good choice for a starter Swiss Army. But, I'd suggest spending a few extra dollars to get the Swiss Army Champion or Champion Plus model/s instead. Even more useful, more tools for not much more width or price, and you won't outgrow it. Ever.

by fromVictorinox Huntsman This is the third Huntsman I've owned. Victorinox seems better than the other "Swiss" manufacturers, but I've still managed to destroy them over several years. Once I added a micro screwdriver to the corkscrew, I have everything I need except pliers and a metal file- which are on my Leatherman. So the Huntsman is a pretty good compromise when packing light. Good to note that when you order the micro screwdriver, or need to replace the spring on the scissors, Swiss Army doesn't charge shipping anymore.

by fromIncludes a needed Saw Blade for Survival With the light but strong nylon handle and light aluminum interior tool separaters, this LIGHT but STRONG knife w/the very precision steel tools is the best for the outback. This is one of the few survial tools with an extremly awesome saw blade. I have owned this exact knife for right at 25 years. Have easily butchered a hog with the very sharp knife blade, too. I own many knives, but I cannot say enough good things about this knife.

by fromJust enough features w/o being too bulky The Huntsman features everything I use on the road or on the trail, without being overly thick. When it comes to Swiss Army Knives, I don't want one with a bunch of excess features I never use. The only con here is that it lacks a full Phillips screwdriver; however, the tip of the bottle opener works almost as well, just not quite as tight a fit. Overall, the Huntsman is excellent.

by fromReplaced the one I lost I wouldn't have had to buy this one, I lost my last one after 15 years of service. Left it on a rock on a popular trail. Lucky finder. I used the knife for cutting everything. The saw, the scissors, all the blades and openers. I camp, backpack, fish and prospect. It is on my belt when I work in construction. Used the tweezers to pick out slivers and the toothpick is the most important tool for me.

by fromThe Best This was my first Swiss Army knife, and it is still my favorite. The woodsaw is great for cutting crusty bread. The scissors cuts quickly, and the two blades are great for opening boxes or whittling marshmallow sticks. I added the mini-screwdriver (fits in corkscrew)for fixing eyeglasses. The two screwdrivers are great for around the house chores (tightening drawer handles, changing batteries). With practice, I mastered the can opener. The bottle opener is very handy. I have looked at other Victorinox swiss army knives, but I keep going back to this one--great for travel.
