Comments about Nalgene Space-Saver Bottle - 64 fl. oz.:
LOTS AND LOTS of fluid! Perfect for extra water storage when you won't be around any drinkable water sources for long periods of time. Great for car camping, bbq's, keeping extra water in the car on long trips for emergencies etc etc. Probably not too bad a product for backpacking either, keeping in mind it will definitely add weight, and it's bulk is moot when empty. Also, the humangear capCAP Water Bottle Tops that are made for Nalgene (the ones that turn the big-mouth style into an easier to drink out of small-mouth style) fit on this thing, no problem.

Comments about Nalgene Space-Saver Bottle - 64 fl. oz.:
This squared off container is great for making the most out of the space in my REI Weekender Cooler, 2011 model. I like to use it to pre-mix my "adult beverage" for a weekend of camping with friends so I don't have to do it while camping. 64 oz. is a perfect size for this, usually :)
The only downside is that it's retained a slight bit of lemonade smell in it, but nothing significant and since that's all I use it for it's not a problem.

Comments about Nalgene Space-Saver Bottle - 64 fl. oz.:
The size of this bottle is awesome, and I wish more bottles were squared! It does not roll around and is very easy to pack around. Round items packed together create gaps!
I use this for myself on very warm days or for watering me and my dog when out for walks. Too heavy for multi day backpacking, I still prefer a water bladder for those adventures.

Comments about Nalgene Space-Saver Bottle - 64 fl. oz.:
Use this on all my multi-day trips, be it hiking, rafting or whatever. Easy to fill right from river or spring, easy to carry. One con is I wish it could be a couple ozs lighter, but no big issue overall when carrying 35-45 lbs.

Comments about Nalgene Space-Saver Bottle - 64 fl. oz.:
This is a very strong container, it will take a lot of abuse. it fits in most backpacks leaving lots of room for more gear. The only problem is if you are using a ruck sack with out padding it will dig into your back. This is easy to remeady if you place some article of clothing between the bottle and your back. If it gets cold and you require that extra layer after a few miles its a regular pain in the back. I use it with a padded back pack now, old school is okay, but padding is good.

Comments about Nalgene Space-Saver Bottle - 64 fl. oz.:
Re-hydration matters and I play hard and sweat accordingly. This container is the largest one that REI sells (64oz = 1/2 gallon) that is self standing but still wieldable for personal use. I routinely use it (3-5 times per week) to mix Gatorade to which I add whole ice cubes through the wide mouth to help keep it cold. It just slips perfectly into the main compartment of my Camelback Mule.
Whether its a trip to the gym, a 2 hour mountain bike ride in the desert, or playing in the park with my kids, this bottle is tough, easy to clean, BIG, easy to add ice to, and is easy to just throw in the fridge when I get home. I highly recommend it.
