The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Nalgene Wide-Mouth Loop-Top Round Bottle - 32 oz.:
This is my only REI product review. Simply stated, after having tried many types of water bottles, this Nalgene bottle is superior to them all.
I have had these Nalgene bottles for over 10 years and have taken them all over the world, and not once have any of them leaked or breaked. I have also never had to replace the cap and I always carry it by the loop.
Due to this bottle being somewhat see-through, it is nice and very handy to be able to see the water level with marked graduations on the side. But the best part for me about this Nalgene bottle is that YOU CAN FREEZE IT! I like to fill it up halfway, to the 16 oz point and then stick it in the freezer at an angle with the lid cracked. Once it's frozen I fill it up the rest of the way with water and have ice cold water for hours. I tried doing this exact method with the Lexan version of the Nalgene's and they cracked after a few months. Because the lexan version is so rigid they can't stand up to repetitive expansion/contraction. This model is firm and holds its shape, but yet is flexible enough to be able to be frozen. Sometimes the bottom will bulge due to the freezing, but it doesn't crack the bottle and after it thaws it goes back to the original shape. FYI, you can't freeze stainless steel bottles because it will break the weld.
I've used the bottles with iodine tablets and over the course of 6 weeks, the iodione did stain the inside of the bottle. However, it did not effect the taste of the water when I wasn't using iodine tablets after my trip.
When I was in the mountains in Nepal I would fill it up with boiling water and sleep with it to keep me warm. Perfect. It didn't last all night, but it was great.
I like that I can carry three bottles at the same time with one finger. Very handy if you're camping and you're filling up water bottles from a stream far away from your campsite.
Water filters fit the big mouth perfectly. Also, the big mouth is nice becuase you can dip it down low to gather water from shallow sources. This task is sometimes impossible with narrow-mouth water bottles.
I have a few older lexan Nalgens that I just threw out becuase they contained BPA (look for the triangle with the 7 in it to see if you have a BPA version). Now, all Nalgene's are BPA-free. This version has always been BPA-free, which is nice.
It does not fit in a bicycle water bottle carrier nor does it fit in a cars cup holder. Also, when I have ice water in it, it sweats a good bit.
I can't recommend this version of the Nalgene enough. Every few years I think "hey, it's been awhile I'm sure there is a better bottle out there somewhere." I need to just realize that this Nalgene bottle is perfect as-is. I'm grateful that Nalgene hasn't gone away from their original design as so many companies seek to "improve" their products. I have looked at many different brands and companies, and simply stated, there is no bottle out there that can do what this one can. It's not as sexy or pretty as other water bottles out there, but in my mind, it is most definitely the best.

Save your money - there are more expensive bottles out there, but not better ones. This is THE best combination of quality, price, durability and convenience. You cannot go wrong with a solid, basic wide-mouth Nalgene.
Comments about Nalgene Wide-Mouth Loop-Top Round Bottle - 32 oz.:
One of my few 5-star ratings. I've seen the Lexan versions of Nalgenes break when taking small fall. However, I dropped this bottle from ~50 feet up a climb onto rocks and it was fine. I've also ran over it with a 3/4 ton truck and it got a little bent up but didn't leak and has mostly regained it's shape.
While it's not as pretty as the colored lexan ones, you can decorate it with stickers to make it look nicer!

It's graduated, it attaches to water filters, can be run over by a car, I mean, what more can you ask of a water bottle? I've had mine since I was just a little kid, and it has held up through daily use, tough trips, races, and more.

These are the only ones we'll buy for the high country, and mountaineering season...they have never steered us wrong. Virtually unbreakable, and maintain a moderate temperature. Also very convenient with the wide mouth, and easy-to-latch lid loop.

This is a great, inexpensive solution.HDPE production doesn't have a huge impact on resources compared to most other plastics (LDPE does use fewer resources). Also, HDPE is one of the most recyclable plastics. So from an environmental and resource perspective, it is a good choice.HDPE is not as resilient to impacts and punctures as proprietary type-7 resins. But it is significantly more resilient than LDPE.HDPE is not as resilient to chemicals and odors as proprietary type-7 resins. But it is significantly more resilient than LDPE.HDPE is generally less costly (by about half!) than proprietary type-7 resins (such as the Nalgene Everyday BPA-free bottle).I like that this bottle is very recyclable. I don't mind that it isn't as resilient to impacts--they're still extremely difficult to puncture, tear, or cut. Mine hasn't acquired any kind of odor, and it only has an occasional "plastic taste," despite the fact that I only use food-grade vinegar to clean mine. I like that I can buy two of these for the price of one of most other similar water bottles. This wide-mouth version is great for use with a water filter! I prefer the narrow-mouth for drinking and everyday use.

I bought two for a weeklong backpacking trip, I now use them just about every day for casual use too. No cracks or broken bottles yet. No leaks. Out of habit I usually grab it by the little plastic loop that attaches the cover to bottle - and it has not snapped yet unlike other bottles I have had.

I used to use these nalgene bottles while camping 10 years ago. Since then, they've come up with those colorful clear bottles (which had bpa), and the even newer colorful clear ones that are bpa-free. I still like the old ones since they are made of the softer polypropylene and last longer. I tried many other bottles for aesthetics, because this one just doesn't look the best. I bought a sigg bottle this year, and after putting it in the fridge on the top shelf (near the freezer compartment), it cracked. What a waste of [$]. This nalgene has lasted through it all.

I'm on my 2nd bottle. MI gave up my army surplus metal canteen and bought my first bottle which lasted 20 years! Went through many drops and hard bumps. I think it finally crumbled at a spot where it hit the ground earlier.
