The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about GSI Outdoors Enamelware Coffee Pot - 8 Servings of Coffee:
I bought this coffee pot to use for a weekend car-camping trip. It is very durable and I like the look of it. However, I put in on a Coleman camp stove and within a minute of boiling the water/coffee grinds started leaking all over the stove. The top is too flimsy to hold the water and allow the coffee to percolate. Overall this was a huge mess and made disappointing coffee. Would be great for warming water but not percolating coffee. Will be returning.

Comments about GSI Outdoors Enamelware Coffee Pot - 8 Servings of Coffee:
After some experimentation and frustration trying to percolate coffee, I ditched the percolator components and now use it strictly for cowboy coffee. I use the same coffee I use in my home drip coffee maker.
1. I Add cold water to the coffee pot using my coffee mug to measure the water. Ex. 3 cups of coffee, I pour 3 mugs worth of water into the pot.
2. Turn on the burner and bring the water up to simmer, approximately 200 degrees.
3. Once at simmer, reduce heat to LOW. Add 1 scoop of coffee for each cup and then one more half scoop.
4. "Brew" four minutes on LOW. It should be GENTLY bubbling.
5. Turn off the heat and let it cool for four minutes.
6. As the water cools, the grounds will sink to the bottom on their own.
7. Gently pour coffee into your cup from the pot and enjoy awesome coffee!

Very easy to use and clean. Perfect for use on a portable propane grill. Only a few minutes to get the water boiling and the coffee is virtually done.

I love to go backcountry but when I car camp, this coffee pot is great. The hinge on the lid is a bit flimsy, but the pot is fully functional even if it detaches. It's the only pot that I felt comfortable using directly over a fire. It has worked great on my coleman grill, on steel grate over fire and even directly in the fire. It will collect soot if place directly in the fire, but it will wash right off.
Great pot especially for the price.

Comments about GSI Outdoors Enamelware Coffee Pot - 8 Servings of Coffee:
Today's coffee machines have robbed many people of the pleasures of perked coffee. This pot makes plenty of it. I like this pot because the large bottom makes it stable and provides a lot of surface area to heat the water quickly. Study up on perking coffee before you use it because if you over cook, the coffee will be like motor oil. Most ground coffee now is too fine for percolators so grind your own or buy percolator coffee filters. They also make cleanup easier.

Comments about GSI Outdoors Enamelware Coffee Pot - 8 Servings of Coffee:
The coffeepot is great for just boiling water for all your needs when car camping. It holds a good amount of water and water tends to cook quickly on the stove. The top has a piece that is supposed to keep it attached to the handle when you are not using it, but this piece is pretty useless and testy. It is not a necessary part.

Comments about GSI Outdoors Enamelware Coffee Pot - 8 Servings of Coffee:
Took this winter camping to use over an open fire. It worked great! We must have been boiling water almost non-stop for two hours as we used it to eat, drink and fill our nalgenes before bed. By the time we were done, it was almost completely black from the fire. But once I got it home and washed it, it looked just like new again.
