Comments about Tacoma Mountain Rescue Storm Shelter:
Blocks water and wind well, but terribly hard to repack. After one use, it folds to about 3 times the size as before because I can't manage to get all of the air out. Also, the provided matches are not waterproof. It seems like the thin material could easily rip if you moved around in it, or if it caught on plants. However, at [$], it cant be beat for one time usage. Definitely a good, compact shelter to have with you all the time, especially when you are not carrying a tent and there is the possibility of storm.

Comments about Tacoma Mountain Rescue Storm Shelter:
this is intended to be an emergency bivy sack that you keep in your pack and hope you will not have to use. It isn't perfect, but it is much better than nothing. Mine is a rectangular sack measuring 3'x7'-4" and it weighs 3.5 ounces. It is probably considered a one time use, but I have used it and re packaged it in a zip lock bag. I have two, and one got damaged and I patched it with duct tape and gave it to my wife to carry for day hikes. I highly recommend it on account of price and weight. It isn't noisy like a space blanket and the size is ample for one. You could do a little better (like a Heat Sheet Bivvy), but at added cost.
