Icebreaker  Hike+ Medium Crew Socks - Men's

When you're out backpacking, one of the best feelings is to grab a brand new clean pair of wool socks from your bag and putting them on. These icebreaker merino wool socks are warm, comfortable and durable. Each time you put them on after a wash, it's like a brand new pair of socks all over again. The material clings well to your foot, gives plenty of cushion, but is also incredibly breathable. I never have issues with foot odors, even after 10+ mile hikes in these socks. The designs are simple and minimal, but the quality of the material is amazing.

My husband spends most of the day standing on concrete. Even with very nice work boots and insoles, his feet are still tired and sore. He's spent literal decades looking for socks, and then we found these. He LOVES them. Some pairs are four years old, have been worn every week or two for all four years, and still look and feel great. I am on a teacher's salary but when I see these on sale, I buy them. We have some lightweight ones for summer and some medium weight ones for fall and winter. If your know someone who is on their feet a lot (nurse, mechanic, teacher) these are THE socks to give them. I cannot recommend them highly enough. My dad is a farmer and guess what he's been getting for birthdays, Father's Day, Christmas, etc. the last few years? Well, he discovered these socks from my husband and is now filling his own sock drawer with them!

I haven't had them long enough to know how long they'll last but they seem well constructed - similar to the smartwool I usually buy (which last me many years). Wool socks help prevent smells too - so you're warm & not stinky - win win.

As with all the Ice Breaker socks I have purchased the fit and comfort is better than any other brand I have tried. I have only had them a few months we'll see how well they hold up over time. Would be nice to have more color patterns and options. But them you won't be sorry.
