Heavy on black pepper

Rehydrated fairly well, made it at approximately 10.2K feet elevation. Because cooking times are so long at higher elevations, I recommend making a cozy to keep meals hot. I'd reduce the amount of water next time, to perhaps 3/4 cup to avoid the "soupy" results. This had all the right flavors, but was overly dependent on black pepper. I love using black pepper on my eggs, but the ratio here is off--cut back and let us taste the rest of the flavors. Barely any cheese shreds.

Not great

Should have read the other reviews before I tried this. Rubbery eggs (even for dehydrated), soupy texture, and way, way too much black pepper.

Not a great way to start your day

Prepared to instructions accounting for altitude, even gave it extra time to rehydrate and ended up with a very disappointing and not at all appetizing, cold, egg soup.

Black Pepper Monstrosity

The amount of black pepper in this meal is astounding. I truly did not think it was possible to fit as much pepper in this tiny pouch, but Backpacker's Pantry really outdid themselves. It's a shame, because otherwise the flavor was there.

Yuck 😕

I like spice but this was unexpectedly full of black pepper. It rehydrated pretty well but was also soupy. The taste was just not there, it only tasted of peppered eggs. Will not try again.

Too Much Pepper - Too Little Everything Else

I like black pepper more than most, but since the eggs and potatoes had so little flavor all you taste is the obscene amount of black pepper they use to compensate. Would not recommend.

Comfort food

Recommended if you like cacio e pepe - it's heavy on black pepper and I love it! It has a creamy consistency and goes great in a tortilla with a little salsa

Best breakfast!

This is hands down my favorite backpacking breakfast! It is a little peppery flavor but it’s good with a tortilla and some siracha!

Tastes pretty good

I don’t understand all the hate. I thought it was pretty good. A little spicy with beans. No complaints here.
