Read More Given that all feet are not created equal, I am sorely disappointed in the durability of these socks.I bought three pairs about a month ago and wear them daily, with either sandals or deck shoes. I like the classic raggs for their comfort and general properties associated with wool garments. I was dismayed to find a hole in the heel of one sock but figured that I would just revive the old tradition of sock darning. When shotly thereafter a hole appeared in one from the second pair I realized that I had purchased an inferior product. It appears that the weave at the critical point in the heel is far too loose. At[$] bucks a pop, I expect more from a pair of socks. I would think twice before buying this product. -

Read More I purchased 5 pr. Classic Ragg Wool Socks at the end of last season but didn't start to wear them until this winter. I LOVE these socks. I live in a log cabin in the mountains, keep the temp low inside during the winter and these keep my feet warm. After years of buying ragg wool socks that have worn out quickly, become stiff and bunched up in my hiking boots, I finally found some that retain their softness, cushion, warmth, wicking ability and shape after many washings. -

Read More Dollar-for-dollar, these are the best wools socks out there. I've been through Wigwam, SmartWool, and other REI makes and I am only going to use these from here on out. They are warm (but regulate temperature well), comfortable, and--unlike the others--they don't wear out right away. Throw in the affordable price and they have no competition. The only downside is I wish they had more color options... -

Read More I bought one pair of these socks just to see how they compared to thick cotton in my boots. Well, about a week later I bought 6 more & threw away all my other socks. They're comfy, sturdy, keep the stink down, warm & regulates heat extremely well. The only downside is that since they're wool, they absorb a lot of moisture, but hey, that should be expected. Oh, also, love the price! Since I bought six I got 10% off, another 10% back for my membership & another 5% back with my REI Visa; hard to beat [$]/pair. -
Feb 21, 2011Great Quality for the priceI bought a few pairs of these to wear around the house and out and about and they are super comfy. Great quality for the price.
Read More I am so disappointed these socks are no longer made by REI. I have several of these socks, they are warm, they dry fast, they comfortable. When the weather is not so cool they are not too hot. Mine have lasted a long time. I hope REI makes them available again.
