Impressive all-rounder for gravel
First time using a Maxxis for my gravel bike. I'm impressed by the grip, ride, and toughness. Weight for a 700x 45mm is competitive at a measured 494g. Even with the minimal center tread, I've been able to stand while pedaling on steep, gravel surfaces and it has not slipped except when I hit loose sand. (I ride low pressure to increase grip and improve ride,, about 30-32 PSI) They corner surprisingly well, too. Has become my go to tire for rides/events when I need a bigger, tougher tire. (I'm 140lbs, so 45mm is BIG to me:)
