Nice compact, metal mess kit

For the price this is a great mess kit, but I do think they overcomplicated it. I just use the pan with the handle and the lid as a bowl/ plate. The little bowl and cover inside seem extraneous, and don't fit too well with the handles on the little bowl. I cut them off before I realized I don't really need that extra piece. I think they are better than the plastic ones out there, I'm more comfortable using them for hot food. Further, the metal spork (titan spork) that REI sells is just short enough to go in without the bowl.
