Perfect for a preschooler
My 3 year old loves this hat! It keeps him cool and protected from the sun. The strap is a must where we live as it’s windy most days. It’s also a really nice looking hat, so adorable!

Love this hat! I bought another one 4 yrs later
I love this hat so much that I bought another one just like it! After 4 years, it didn’t wear out, just became faded from the sun, although even a little faded, it still gets lots of compliments! I bought it for myself even though it’s kid sized (large), since most hats are too big and don’t fit right on my small head! Love that it’s reversible, so I can wear with my pink outfits and bikini or the blue or green outfits! Love that the strap is strong for wind on the boat and lightweight for hot days and if it takes a splash or dunk in the water, it dries really fast!

I bought the clear creek boonie for myself and liked it so much that I got my 3 year old daughter one too. She loves it! She was pretty excited to have matching hats. She also likes the chin strap because she's always worried about her hats blowing off on the boat. I like that it covers her neck and shoulders so it keeps more of her protected from the Florida sun. I've washed it a few times in the machine on gentle cycle then hung to dry and it washes just fine. I never in a million years thought I'd be spending so much money for a hat (and definitely not for a kids hat!) but after years of living in Florida and seeing how much damage the sun can do, I am so glad I discovered Sunday afternoons!
Great coverage • Not-so-great breathability
Love the style and coverage for my 1 & 3 year-old boys. However very dissatisfied with the lack of breathability of the material. While they provide sufficient shade, the material causes them to sweat very easily. They almost need mesh or some material around the head area so they don’t heat up so quickly.
Hat for toddler
Bought a sun protection hat for my 18 month old. The quality of very good and i like how it looks on him. It protects his face and neck, but his head sweats a lot with it on. Not sure if it's the material.
