The Best

This quilt is the bomb! It is so light and yet very durable. I backpack with two dogs, one a border collie mix who barely stops moving, even at night, and a pitbull-lab mix who weighs 110 pounds. Even with all of us crammed in a tent and fighting over space this quilt has held up magnificently. I use it with the Sea to Summit Ether Light pad and am always sufficiently warm from mid-spring to mid-fall. I am a warm sleeper and am very uncomfortable in a sleeping bag, often trying to stick my feet out of the bottom of the bag even on cold nights, so the quilt style of sleep system has been a great setup for me. Highly recommend if you want to get into the quilt world.

S2S Ember UL 30degree Quilt

Quilt was not quite what I had hoped for. I bought the 30 degree quilt to hike the Collegiate West last week in CO. The bag was slightly heavier than advertised and was 1.68lb's right off the bat (inside stuff sack). I strapped it around my NeoAir Uberlite pad and was definitely not warm enough for the trip. Temps didn't get below freezing but I did and had to put several layers on each night to stay warm. The quilt wasn't built for 30 degrees. Would have been more comfortable in 45+ degree weather. Also, I am 5'10-5'11 and had trouble getting the quilt to stay above my chest level. Had to keep pulling it up all night to stay warm(er). Overall it's a decent quilt, but I intend on exchanging it for either a different bag/quilt or at least the Larger size.

Great product, well designed

This down quilt is my go to ultralight sleeping bag for summer mountaineering or backpacking. It packs down to almost the size of nalgiene water bottle. I use it as blanket when it is really warm at night or use the snap system to make it more of a mummy bag. I also use it as an extra layer on top of my winter sleeping bag for when I go snow camping. This quilt is versatile and can change ones sleeping system. I recommend highly. Worth the price! Nice work team.

Amazing n light

I've now had my for a few months now. I've taken it on several trips and I am still amazed at how warm and light it is. This is my first quilt and I Love it!! I regulate my temperature with my feet and head normally which was always sn issue with sleeping bags. I have the freedom to move and sleep on my side or my stomach easily. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND quilts now!! I purchased the 30 degree.

Super Quality and Loft

The Quilt (Ember III) arrived in phenomenal quality and lofts up huge! It's too cold here to try it outside yet, but I was excited to see that the down was actually rated at 900 Fill Power for this quilt, which is even higher than advertised. It also weighed in 1.5 oz lighter, so I am thrilled about that. It seems durable for an ultralight quilt and I look forward to many seasons of use!

LUXURIOUS!

This quilt is amazing. It packs down into the tiny stuff sack, but when you unpack it, it "inflates" itself into this fully lofted, luxurious comforter. The first time I unpacked it, I couldn't believe how thick it got. I also splurged on the Ether Light XT Insulated Pad and Aeros premium pillow. These three items go together so perfectly, it's satisfying to set it all up. The quilt cinches around the foot of the pad, locking in the heat around your feet and securing the quilt so it doesn't slip off the pad. The shoulder area is wide enough that my pup could snuggle under it with me next to my pad. I think the width of this quilt is critical. I have another quilt I bought a few years back (similar price) that gets drafty near the top because it's just slightly too narrow for me (broad shoulders). I have only done one trip (2 nights) so far with this set up, but right away I can say that I am in love with it.

Very Warm & Comfortable so far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the 50 degree version and I have yet to use it outside. It's super-compact, high-quality and has kept me warm and toasty while testing my sleep system on my floor where my house it 60 degrees. It packs down super-small and feels like it weighs almost nothing. I am a new camper and am hoping this fits the bill for bike packing and possibly a 7-day ride across Iowa.

Always Warm enough

Ember 3 is my go to quilt for my Backpacking trips. So far it's been with me out for over 200 nights including a PCT thruhike. I've never used a liner and i've never been cold. Just like any quilt you gotta make sure you don't have draft's when it's cold. I am a bit sad that the footbox is closed that sometimes makes for real warm feet but anything else is great about it

I wasn't sure about a quilt with the straps. But this is amazing. Clearly this isn't meant for intense Alpine adventure but great for any Summer/Spring trip. Packs so small and lightweight v a bag. I feel less like I will slip off my air mat. Great loft. Feels more like sleeping with a comforter at home. Pair it with a liner on cooler nights
